Summary: I'll keep this short. This monitor is awesome! Easy set up with brilliant screen that pops! Do note that if you are connecting this to a Mac via thunderbolt, you will need a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. Order it with this purchase because the monitor only comes with a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. If you don't order at the same time, you'll struggle finding it in stores, and you'll have to deal with a stretched picture until you get the DisplayPort cable.
Summary: There's a whole lot of real estate to be had with a 21:9 monitor and Asus has produced a very nice one that won't break the bank (especially for a really nice IPS panel). Assembling this monitor was a breeze. It is very sturdy and the minimal, industrial look is great. The color reproduction and viewing angles are very good on this monitor. Response time is pretty low too; I haven't had much issue with gaming on it.
Summary: This monitor replaced two old Dell monitors. It has worked flawlessly and has a great picture. The screen width is slightly less than the pair of monitors it replaced, but it doesn't have the annoying "gap" to contend with. Excellent product!
Summary: Pro: great colors deeper black compares to asus mx299q(also owned that one) I dont see any ghosting / screen lag games(League of legends) looks great with 2560x1080 resolution swivel stand vesa mount compatible hidden speakers comes with Power cord, dual-link DVI cable, HDMI cable, DisplayPort cable, audio cable, no dead pixel! < very important Con: Just a little backlit bleed but seems like all monitors have that besides the OLED technology.
Summary: This monitor is a love it or don't want to try it peripheral. I play all game types including FPS, MMO, RPG, etc. and I wanted this monitor purely for extra screen real estate on the sides. I got what I wanted and the color output is great for someone who is not picky like me. I did load ICC profiles and that gave me piece of mind that the monitor "should" have calibrations based off of someone who knew what they are doing.
Nice Monitor for the price -- Macintosh owners beware!

Summary: I ordered this monitor to replace an older 24" LCD that had done a fair job for many years. I have several computers, but I was (and remain) most interested in using it with my Mac Mini i7 Quad Core. When the monitor arrived in a damaged package I was concerned about its condition, but soon found that the outer damage did not penetrate all the way to the monitor.
Summary: I was looking at the 29" LG and ASUS models. While the LG 29EA93V had a nice software option, I kept coming back to the ASUS MX299Q. The only issue was the absence of a stand that allowed swivel, height adjustment, rotation, etc. In addition, the ASUS had no VESA mount. Then I saw this ASUS monitor at another store and it was perfect.
Excerpt: One of the best monitors I have ever used! I really enjoy the extra real estate for opening multiple documents and the Multiframe software from Asus is a must! Purchasing from B&H photo has been easy and reliable. Packaging was better than I expected as well.
