Excerpt: This is a nice step up from my 24" Samsung. Love the higher resolution, the text is very crisp. 1920x1080 just isn't enough, especially at 27".

The color is not perfect out of the box, but looks great to the naked eye. I ran a Spyder4Elite on it, and can see that it had a very slight yellow tint, like most monitors do but less so. It looks better out of the box than any other monitor I've owned.
Summary: Excellent monitor for the price! Colors are amazing, clarity is great, OC'd to 85Hz, no dead pixels or light bleed. Games look awesome! Playing Mass Effect 3 again with new HD texture mods and the game looks like it just came out! This paired with the GTX 770 and Samsung EVO Solid State drive it a sweet combination. Very happy. Also text is very clear, just remember to scale your windows UI, like the task bar and icons, otherwise they are pretty tiny.
Excerpt: I have been using this monitor daily for several months now for software development and photo editing and I am impressed with the quality of the text displayed as well as the color fidelity. This monitor appears to be well-built and my panel has no frozen pixels. The WQHD resolution is a huge asset when running multiple virtual machines and when editing large spreadsheets or photos. Bonus points to ASUS for providing DVI-D and HDMI connector cables. One cautionary note.
Excerpt: My frustration with the laptop screens made me look for an LCD monitor. I researched everything from cheap monitors listed on craigslist to the ones on DELL and ASUS web sites.I had different requirements and this addresses each one of them.First, I have a home studio setup and I primarily use Cakewalk Sonar X2.It needed a higher resolution screen so that I don't spend 75% of my time scrolling up, down and sideways.
Summary: I just got these monitors today, but couldn't be happier with the purchase! I do wish that Amazon would put a second box around them, so they didn't scream steal me, that would be about the only bummer so far. The resolution is perfect, no dead pixels, everything is great. I haven't gamed much, but my desktop is used mainly for productivity work.
Excerpt: This monitor is not easy to adjust, it will take time to learn to control the functions of the six input buttons. Once it came on with everything way too large, and it wasn't easy to figure out how to shrink it back to where it had been. The images are beautiful, colors look great, action is crisp with no blur.
Summary: This monitor is officially Awesome Mcfabulous. It's gigantic, fantastic for gaming, sharp, and clear. The stand is incredibly sturdy, it swivels, moves up and down, and you can turn it so it's vertical, though I have no idea what people do that for. This thing is heavy duty, so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a lot of space and a solid desk. If you have a flimsy desk and a cat who likes to jump up on things . . . don't get it or it will end up on the floor.
Monitor is absolutely amazing! Most helpful critical review takes off 2 eggs for a cable you can replace for $5? Is that a joke?

Summary: On my particular monitor, there is miniscule backlight bleed (practically imperceptible) for 2-3 inches in the top left side of my screen that goes 0.3 to 0.5 inches down when looking at a completely black screen. This is tolerable for me and a non issue (especially when my last monitor had bad backlight bleed), but this may be an issue for some people if there is any present on their monitor.
Pros: Picture quality is amazing. Clarity amazing. Color is amazing. Size and resolution are breath taking. Zero bad/stuck pixels.
Cons: The 60hz refresh rate may be a turn off for those that are used to higher refresh rates. For me personally, it's a worthy trade off for the size, resolution, and picture quality of an IPS/PLS panel and haven't noticed any ghosting while playing games or watching movies. Even though it's 60hz, it still has VERY very little measurable input lag for a 60hz monitor. Tracefree default setting is 60 which is not optimal (set it to 40 or even 20 for better results).
