Summary: I'm a professional book editor, among other things, and spend many-many hours generating graphics, editing photos and text, and doing book layups. I needed a large screen with the capability of handling two letter-sized pages side-by-side and this unit works well for this. It also provides sharp text with minimal eyestrain and high-quality imaging for graphics and photo editing. Bottom LIne: After several months of using the unit daily, I'm totally pleased..
Summary: My unit arrived in perfect condition. I use this as an extended monitor for photography work; the IPS screen allows me to view my photos from top to bottom with no hint of washout as you'd find in standard monitors. I can also pivot the screen 90 degrees for my vertical shots. Yesterday when the bulb went out on my DLP TV, I was able to use the hdmi setting to connect the monitor to my cable box and watch TV.
Summary: I spent a lot of time looking into which monitor to purchase. I have been incredibly impressed with this machine! The color reproduction is incredibly spot on for a monitor that costs under $1000. The added benefit of having multiple ports to utilize is excellent. The idea of having some of the features available (rotating screen, and layout overlay) was really appealing, though in the grand scheme, I will probably not really utilize much. That said its a great monitor.
Summary: I'm loving the monitor. Side by side with a much older and cheaper LED on VGA connection, it's really a treat. If you're new to hooking up a digital display, use the HDMI cable only - it's the one they don't supply! Otherwise you will not be digitally connected. So order a cable with it. The PA246 is much warmer than the old one, and ahead of me is the whole calibration fun.
Summary: I am what you could call a semi-professional photographer. I received this monitor today and installed it. I set it on Adobe RGB mode, found my color-Munki and did a quick calibration. I have to tell ya, I was blown away! This is a GREAT monitor! UPDATE - After using this for a few months I am still impressed. It replaced a Viewsonic that I was using as my primary monitor. With the Viewsonic it was kind of by guess and by-gosh!
Summary: Received this monitor 3 days ago. A little bright out of the box but a simple adjustment and all is okay. No dead pixels or light bleed from the edges. Upgraded from a Dell 20" tft panel - worth every penny!
Summary: This monitor is very easy to set up, accurate colors and come with all necessary cables. The menu is very user friendly and built quality is excellent. Also easy to adjust height, rotation etc. I use the monitor for photo editing using Adove Lightroom. So far I had no quality related issues.
Summary: I love this monitor, I do photography processing, game playing and regular PC activities and monitor is just great, using it for about a month now and love it. Installation was as easy as it can get just follow the instructions, apply color profile which came with the monitor and you set to go.
