Summary: I went boldly where few have gone: putting the Asus monitor on the road (with the right suitcase and padding) and show off our videos using a DVD player, not a PC. So far, at each exhibition, it seems we have the best screen in the room (in truth, many don't bother and use laptops with not so great...
Pros: It's hard to go back to an LG or even a Samsung of similar size right after using this Asus. Initially my various scanners were connected to various computers but it seems that most have migrated to the computer with the Asus screen. I wonder why...
Cons: Hard to find: so far no bad pixel, and no need to call Asus.
Summary: My unit arrived in perfect condition. I use this as an extended monitor for photography work; the IPS screen allows me to view my photos from top to bottom with no hint of washout as you'd find in standard monitors. I can also pivot the screen 90 degrees for my vertical shots.
Summary: Really love this monitor. It's great for photo editing and does wonders toward making prints which look the way you intend. The price is stomachable, and even for general productivity, 24" is pretty useful.
Pros: Truly wide gamut (100%+ Adobe RGB) Great Ports Easily Configured Price compared to similar monitors is pretty good Solid Warranty (though I haven't made any attempt to use it)
Cons: Heavy (but not meant to be moved, so not much of an issue) Could always be cheaper Silly grid button feature
Summary: I spent a lot of time looking into which monitor to purchase. I have been incredibly impressed with this machine! The color reproduction is incredibly spot on for a monitor that costs under $1000. The added benefit of having multiple ports to utilize is excellent.
Pros: This monitor came with a complete rundown of all testing and calibration right from the factory. I plugged it in and it was spot on color wise right out of the box. I teach photoshop and photography and often find myself bragging out about how much I like this monitor for price as well as color a...
Summary: The wide range of brightness control allows anyone to use this outdoors in direct sunlight, with no clouds. I use brightness in srgb mode at 22 or usermode at 18 indoors. At 100 it is blinding. HDMI and displayport sending audio. USBHub does not work with monitor in sleep or off.
Pros: This is one of the best monitors I have ever owned. Easily compares to 1000$ dells and NEC monitors. Preset RGB settings and measurements on screen! Color reproduction is very wide and brilliant. This is the best monitor around, unless you go QHD, for 500$. Have owned this monitor for over a year.
Summary: I'm loving the monitor. Side by side with a much older and cheaper LED on VGA connection, it's really a treat. If you're new to hooking up a digital display, use the HDMI cable only - it's the one they don't supply! Otherwise you will not be digitally connected. So order a cable with it.
