Summary: It's my first IPS monitor, but I can tell that reproduces an excellent range of colors one garmut very full, very good contrast for my tends to be better with warm colors, perfect is calibrated with colorMunky " I am happy with its performance. just the aesthetics is not the best, plastics are not very good looking, looks like a expensive toy and not a professional monitor. but for me the main thing is the performance. so the appearance is a second term.
Summary: Bought this as a replacement for my old LCD that was ok but just didnt give me the wide gamut I needed to work on my photos. The color on this monitor is excellent and when calibrated I do get a 100% SRGB and 98% Adobe RGB which is right in line with the specs. One area that you will need to keep in mind is that it does take awhile for this monitor to "warm up" so that the luminance and color are where they should be.
Summary: I have little to add on top of other reviews. I just want to mention that the side USB ports are powered down if you power off the monitor. I had a trivial reason for briefly shutting off my monitor. When I resumed power (and my work), I realized I had lost my connection to my encrypted USB drive. :-b This seems unnecessary and potentially problematic. When I do overnight backups to my USB hard drive, I turn off the monitor to save energy.
Summary: Once my aging Samsung 21.6" 216BW monitor started to get flaky I started shopping for a new monitor and the more I researched things, the more intriguing a monitor with an IPS panel seemed and the Asus ProArt series kept popping up. I will disclose that I'm not a graphic artist and do not have professional or color critical needs, but this Asus model drew my attention due to the many features it has and if it so happened that it was color calibrated out of the box and...
Great Monitor, Amazing Color, Perhaps a Bit Pricey
Patrick Patterson, Amazon
17 September 2011
Summary: Just picked up one of these bad boys and so far I'm impressed. Note on shipping: though the shipping estimate said I would get it in about 7 days with Prime (weird?), it came next day, about 24 hours after I clicked purchase. You have to love Amazon. Versus Other Displays: As an amateur in the color space world, I'm still getting used to the colors vs my other Asus monitors.
Summary: I've had this now for about a month and I very satisfied with the colors it shows with my photos. No dead pixels and no green to pink tint like the Dell 2410 that other customers complain about. I was using a Samsung 2343 which was great but I had to always look straight at it so the colors won't shift. I don't have any other experience with IPS monitor but I bought this monitor due to the Asus name. Just like their motherboards the Asus P246Q is awesome!
Asus has updated their warranty on this model: Zero Bright Dot

3 April 2011
Summary: When this monitor was first released there were occasional complaints (posted on other online retailer sites) about bright green pixels, and the lack of support from Asus if the stuck pixel count was less than three. Sometime within the last week Asus updated their policy for this model. They now state the following on the product page at asus dot com.
