Summary: It's my first IPS monitor, but I can tell that reproduces an excellent range of colors one garmut very full, very good contrast for my tends to be better with warm colors, perfect is calibrated with colorMunky " I am happy with its performance. just the aesthetics is not the best, plastics are not very good looking, looks like a expensive toy and not a professional monitor. but for me the main thing is the performance. so the appearance is a second term.
Summary: Bought this as a replacement for my old LCD that was ok but just didnt give me the wide gamut I needed to work on my photos. The color on this monitor is excellent and when calibrated I do get a 100% SRGB and 98% Adobe RGB which is right in line with the specs. One area that you will need to keep in mind is that it does take awhile for this monitor to "warm up" so that the luminance and color are where they should be.
Summary: I have little to add on top of other reviews. I just want to mention that the side USB ports are powered down if you power off the monitor. I had a trivial reason for briefly shutting off my monitor. When I resumed power (and my work), I realized I had lost my connection to my encrypted USB drive. :-b This seems unnecessary and potentially problematic. When I do overnight backups to my USB hard drive, I turn off the monitor to save energy.
Summary: worth buying but if you are crazy guy who want the best in every product you want to buy this is not for you, on the other hand if you care a lot about the look of the monitor this is not that good looking also its just normal, but all of that will go away if your focus is the quality of the picture and movies you will watch and don't want to spend 800$ then this is the monitor for you , be and because it competes with all other monitors that have higher cost same still...
Pros: The amount of features it have is amazing it have everything you will ask monitor to have, but its lack LED back lighitng
Cons: the colors is very accurate, you will enjoy playing games hardcore and watching movies but if you put another screen side by side like i did my Mac-book pro LED screen kills it by only one factor that is the brightness
Summary: I've had the PA246Q since June 2011. Great monitor. Came with a factory calibration report & required very little adjustment when I calibrated it.
Pros: - Stand makes adjusting height / position easy, - Graphic "QuickFit" overlay feature, - IPS screen, - Native Display Port interface, - Full 1900 x 1200 resolution, - Fast response time, good contrast, - Built in USB Hub and memory card readers
Cons: - Very bright - have to run this w. Brightness set at "10", - Hi-brightness makes deep blacks hard to come by, - Some issues with Power-On / Off
Summary: Once my aging Samsung 21.6" 216BW monitor started to get flaky I started shopping for a new monitor and the more I researched things, the more intriguing a monitor with an IPS panel seemed and the Asus ProArt series kept popping up. I will disclose that I'm not a graphic artist and do not have professional or color critical needs, but this Asus model drew my attention due to the many features it has and if it so happened that it was color calibrated out of the box and...
Great Monitor, Amazing Color, Perhaps a Bit Pricey
Patrick Patterson, Amazon
17 September 2011
Summary: Just picked up one of these bad boys and so far I'm impressed. Note on shipping: though the shipping estimate said I would get it in about 7 days with Prime (weird?), it came next day, about 24 hours after I clicked purchase. You have to love Amazon. Versus Other Displays: As an amateur in the color space world, I'm still getting used to the colors vs my other Asus monitors.
