Summary: I had hoped to get more than a year out of this monitor, but it failed on me while I have several shoots to edit, which is a huge inconvenience and hassle. The Asus support line seems like it's set up so that you get lost in the phone tree and give up.
Pros: Good color and resolution, until it quit working
Cons: I had this monitor for 8 months and then it wouldn't turn on correctly. I would have to unplug it and plug it back in. It wasn't that frequent so I did nothing. A year later it was doing it daily. Now at 1.5 years it won't work at all. I have to send it in and will have to do my work on a backup ...
Summary: I bought this product from newegg, but felt obliged to warn other prospective buyers here too. The monitor started off well enough, but then started to develop the flickering (screen goes black for 1-3 seconds) that so many others have complained about after a month or two. It keeps getting worse.
Summary: I have had this monitor well over a year now. I loved the color for photo processing. I really loved taking my SD card out of my camera and putting it directly into the reader on the side of the monitor.
Summary: Great, I spent all this cash for the perfect screens, I'm still paying them off, and now I have giant eyecatching lines across them. Guess I'll do another round of asus RMA >.< 5th time this year.
Pros: Well for the first year my 3 pro art screens worked great...
Cons: Well for the first year my 3 pro art screens worked great! .. now 2 out of 3 have whole lines of color appearing on them. One has a giant red line, another has a giant yellow line. Asus is becoming known for shotty quality these days. I don't know anyone who has bought asus and not have had to do...
Summary: Maybe that's the problem--no, wait, the problem was, with unit #1, a piece of something trapped under the coating that looked like a check mark in the middle of the screen. That, and a horrible coloration to everything depicted on the screen.
Summary: I keep asking them to please refund my money, I'll send them the displays, I just want my money back. But Asus is sneaky. Asus USA takes no corporate responsibility for their products, Asus USA as they claim, is ONLY a repair service.
Pros: Large Size Great Pixel Density Displayport Card Reader/USB Ports CCFL IPS Panel
Cons: I've had 2 of these monitors for just about 2 or more years now. I've had to get one of them replaced about 8 times and the second one about 6 times. Sadly, this is no joke. I'm a graphic design professional and I use color management devices such as X-Rite's I1Display Pro to calibrate my printin...
Cons: Dead pixel with no support. You think in this day an age they would text these before sending them out. But no. And when I spoke with Tech support back and forth for a month, and sending them a bunch of pictures numerous times with different color backgrounds, and really spending a lot of time wi...
Summary: I'm shopping for a reliable quality 24" IPS Monitor. I hate to say this at the expense of so many who had problems with this monitor that I will most definitely stay away from purchasing an ASUS branded unit. It appears their product and customer service Hail Mary attempts are terrible.
Pros: Not seeing any
Cons: Too many negative aspects about this unit are discouraging based on a majority of recent reviewers
Summary: When your computer goes to sleep or into idle mode, somehow the monitor looses connection and starts flickering, it takes an amount of troubleshooting to get the image back. I need Asus to replace this monitor, and in all honesty I'm not happy with the performance of this product.
Summary: I owned the PA246 since december 2011 and it barely made survived 10 months. It came with quite a few hot pixels, and the lower left corner was hotter than the rest. I could sorta live with it. And then out of the blue, it just didn't turn on.
