Summary: I like it because it has enough contrast, sharpness quality is high, its slim design makes it lightweight and very modern structure. I recommend it for its price, high quality manufacture super shiny termination.
Summary: After owning this monitor for several years, I'm proud to say It's not let me down once. Never a dead/stuck pixel, color was great when I got it but a little tweaking and it's been absolutely spot on since. I use it every day and it's never had a problem at all. Asus makes great displays in general and it would take a lot to sway me to another brand.
Summary: running blue ray movies to skyrim and am completely satisfied with this monitor. nearly 180 degree field of vision in all directions so crashing on the beanbag you can still see the movie perfectly even without tilting the monitor. only things to be aware of are there are no speaker built in, and it's near impossible to change input mode without having the current input active, as the timer on the shutoff is about 2 seconds total. both inconsequential once in use.
Slim, modern design, good picture quality, but no height adjustment

Summary: Screen arrived safely, double-boxed, and initial setup shows no dead or hot pixels, everything looks fine. The screen could use a height adjustment, I had to put a 2-inch thick book under the base to raise it up. Speaking of the base, it is a cool design made up of 2 circular rings, and they are quite solid when screwed-down. I'm using the supplied HDMI to DVI cable, attached to a StarTech DVI KVM switch, and the KVM works fine.
Summary: GENERAL I debated whether to get the speed of the ML248H or the higher contrast of this ML249H for some time. There weren't any reviews yet of the 249, and I wasn't able to find either in a store for serious scrutiny. Owners of the ML248H were very happy with their 2ms units. I don't play games, but I do edit video. I decided to go for the contrast ratio, hoping it was for real, and hoping I wouldn't be dinged by the slower redraw stats posted by the factory.
Summary: Bought this model, because Asus had a $20 rebate during Nov. Some reviewers previously complained about the stand being wobbly, I have not found any instances where that happened. Since I have it on a pretty sturdy wooden desk. The easy to tilt and swerve feature on this Asus monitor is really nice. You can use one finger and push to tilt the screen or to swerve the screen towards or away from you easily, and it easily keeps it's position.
