Summary: As stated, I bought this monitor about a year ago; perhaps longer, maybe shorter, but within the 12 month +- 12 months range. It has a great range of colors and I have had ZERO problems with it thus far. I use it mainly for Netflix and games and it is absolutely wonderful. It does tend to be a little dark, but tweaking settings can easily fix that issue. It also looks amazing.
Summary: I purchased two of these from Amazon nearly a year ago. I have been satisfied with them all this time. I only have two complaints. The first is that the colors between the two monitors are not the same even when they are set the same through the OSD menus. The second is that text blurs and leaves after images while scrolling. If you are trying to quickly scan through text, it is only readable if you scroll at slower speeds.
Summary: Well I don`t see anything wrong with it, it has everything I expect from a monitor and I don`t expect speakers from my monitor because I have a set of nice Harman Kardon speakers. Anyways, I have an ASUS laptop, I bought it 4.5 years ago and it still works perfectly not even a dead pixel in the display. That was the main reason I went straight to ASUS again to get my monitor from. It has the Splendid technology which my laptop has too.
Summary: I purchased this monitor based on many of the positive reviews I have read. As I am getting this for the family for Christmas, I broke it out of the box to inspect. First off, the upper left hand corner of the frame was broken, with about a 3/4 inch chunk of the vent strip ready to fall off and a visible crack running diagonal where the top and side frame meet. All pixels seem to be working properly. Callibration was way off out of the box.
Summary: Just got my ML248 today, and the things everyone is saying about it are true. The picture quality is terrific, better than the 22" HDTV I was using up to now, though not by a considerable margin. Not that you should expect a night-and-day difference between HD displays. Still, the fact that I could notice an improvement at all without a side-by-side comparison is a sure plus. There's not much more to say in this area, as it's all been said before.
