Summary: I'm not unhappy with the monitor now that I have figured out how to get it to work, but I'm very unhappy with Tech Support because I called last night to report that my new monitor would not power up. The tech was totally not interested in my problem and just told me to return it. After uninstalling all of the DisplayLink software, I used the plug and play feature and when it was loading up it indicated that I had another USB graphic installed that was prohibiting it...
Mac owners beware, you have no control of resolution, color, brightness, calibration, etc.

Summary: Screen quality was not what I was hoping for! The resolution is nice, but screen color way is off. Whites are definitely not white. This is especially visible sitting next to my MacBook Pro which has a very impressive screen. The problem with using this with a Mac is you have ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OF THE MONITOR. Not only can you not adjust the BRIGHTNESS... You can't change RESOLUTION. You can't CALIBRATE the COLOR settings. Seriously ASUS! It is very light and thin.

Summary: It's nice to have a 2nd monitor like this since I travel a lot. It makes my job easier. But USB connection on the monitor was very loose, so I had to ship it to Asus. It's better now, but still kinda loose. If I move the monitor too much, it will get disconnected. Before this, I couldn't even touch the monitor, so at lease they "fixed" it. I don't like to carry extra cables, but I will probably get one with HDMI.
Nice for the extra space. Too bad about mediocre Mac support

Summary: I bought this monitor for the bigger screen and better resolution than the Lenovo USB model I already owned (and hoping USB 3 might give snappier performance). To quote Meat Loaf, two out of three ain't bad. It's certainly bigger. The resolution, while not what you'd get from a standard desktop monitor, is pretty good and seems much better than the Lenovo. But I'm a Mac user running this as a secondary display, and that's where it stumbles.
Summary: I'm using this as a Mac travel monitor. It is super slim (like, shockingly slim!) and feels bigger than expected. Resolution looks good, viewing angle is decent but not as good as an IPS panel. All you need is the USB 3 cable AND you have to download the DisplayLink drivers for Mac and it just works.
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL - You will find it extremely frustrating to use anything LESS than 1080p... It's WORTH the extra money to have the bigger resolution TRUST ME on this one Just do a search for this model - MB168B+
Works on MacBook Pro 15 (MBP) with retina, but has a lag

Summary: Good for the second screen as a view. Sucks if you want to actually control something. Forget to play video on it. It doesn't want to play the video (either files or online). Overall I'm not returning. It's really thin. The cover is nice and durable. The plastic cover on with the Asus logo (on USB) broke after a while. Cable still works.
Summary: The resolution and form factor make this a must-have for me. The display is wonderfully clear and the color is good, but not brilliant. The biggest issue is video motion performance and mouse lag. I can live with it for office work, or as a presentation display for power point presentations. It is not suitable for full motion video and the mouse lag makes it difficult to work. I have found that it works better if I put the PC's power setting in high-performance mode.
Summary: When I purchased this, I knew it was not IPS but I was hoping for better TN quality. The viewing angles are okay, but if you move too far from dead center, then the colors quickly wash out. It's light and thin, the case protects the screen reasonably well while it's nested in my laptop bag. Have questions? Just ask.
Summary: Basically a decent monitor with one irritation that is pretty hard to live with ... the cord pops out of the monitor with the slightest movement. I would never buy this again for that reason alone.
