Summary: It is junk, so is my brand new ASUS laptop. Tech support is terrible. Called tech support for the monitor and they say call another number for support on the laptop. I called laptop support and they say to call the monitor support. Still not able to get this to work.
Summary: I have used a portable USB monitor for years. I rely on it whenever I'm working extended hours outside of my office, which is pretty frequent. As helpful as my low res display is, I really wanted a high resolution display with the same portability. Naturally I was excited about the ASUS MB168B+ and I purchased it right away without thinking twice. To my surprise it doesn't work on my Sony Vaio laptop.
Summary: Purchased this unit, very nice display, light, nice case, it does work as a stand if you read the directions. The unit has VERY LOW brightness using a MACBook Pro. The controls on the side do nothing nor does the auto-rotate work. Working with Asus now but not much hope from other reviews I've read about their support. To bad, I like the monitor better than the other two options out there pro USB powered and portable.
Summary: The product looks gorgeous, with a pristine spun metal finish and slim profile that will inspire you. But then, disappointment sets in the moment you turn it on. What appears to be an original 1980's era LCD panel looks like it is being viewed from behind a screen door, and when you tilt it too far and the image is either completely whitewashed, reversed, or even worse--If you have two eyes, like most humans, the screen might hurt your brain while looking at it.
