Summary: I had high hopes for this monitor. I wanted to have 2 windows open at the same time for programming, as one might do with a dual-monitor setup, only without the overhead and excess power draw. Pros: What I did like was the 21:9 aspect ratio. The colors on the AOC Q2963PM were bright and vivid.
Summary: I have been using this monitor for almost a year now and absolutely love it! The ultrawide aspect ratio is great for multitasking, for school I have often had a word document, a web browser, and the electronic version of the book open at the same time and all of the windows are the proper size.
Summary: I see more things (other than dead people). This works pretty well on applications I run, especially when it comes to creating and editing images as well as wider work space. They come out nice and clear. What I wasn't expecting is that it's a lot more clearer now when I game, especially Skyrim.
Summary: Works great. I use it for old school Unix development. It's been great for that. Easy to configure and get the brightness, color, ect to a comfortable place. It's not too small and not too big. I have it mounted on a flexmount arm on a mobile desk.
MultiPlay a Farce and Impractical At That, But Monitor Still Well Worth Purchase
Jack Foreigner, Amazon
23 March 2015
Summary: Not as useful as I'd thought -- for example, "MultiPlay" isn't an actual setting or toggle you can switch to: it's just AOC's marketing department making a big deal out of the fact that three programs could be windowed side-by-side for increased productivity (though in practice even two windows...
Summary: This is a good monitor for workstation, for people who need or want more screen real estate. perfect for people who work on one thing while referencing another thing
Pros: Works good Looks good
Cons: a 2560x1440 would be better though Misleading advertising, the pictures show a screen that goes to the borders, but actually the monitor is set so you lose about a 1/2 inch around the border, which you can see in some picture elsewhere. docked an egg for it I would actually like a triple wide wit...
Summary: I really love this monitor. As others have pointed out, it has almost the same aspect ratio as a movie in a theater, which means that for the purposes of watching a film it winds up equal to a 34-36" 1080p 16:9 TV in displayed size.
Summary: Pros: A large and rather attractive monitor that does well for everyday needs (browsing, etc). Has plethora of features, such as Picture-in-picture, and definitely increases what you are able to see in video games which was the #1 reason for purchasing this monitor outside of artistic endeavors.
