AOC Q2963PM 29" 21:9 UltraWide IPS LED Monitor Review

17 September 2013
  • Conclusion: The biggest "problem" if you want to call it that with the AOC Q2963PM is the price. For $500, you can get two smaller displays and put them side by side. Sure, it isn't one, ultra-wide display, but it will probably cost you less than $500. For example, if you just use the 16:9 with a 1080p input, you end up with an image that is 23.75" diagonal. Right now, AOC's own 24" e2460Sd will run you less than $150 on Amazon (the MSRP is $190).
  • Pros: Extra Wide, Very bright, Dual source capable, Innovative mounting/stand options
  • Cons: Must use PC input for dual source, Doesn't scale/letterbox, Many connections visible when wall mounted, Pricy

AOC Q2963Pm review - Impressive ultra-wide 29in display with 2560px resolution

Macworld UK
21 August 2013
  • Excerpt: It’s time to go wide again with the second of the ultra- wide panels in this round up. Like the NEC model, this is 29in of LCD screen, with LED backlighting and a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels. But that’s where the similarity stops. The AOC is lighter at 6.9kg, arguably much more stylish with a gun-metal grey finish, and is shorter.
  • Pros: Ultra-wide 29in display, good screen brightness and colour consistency, stylish cabinet and good selection of interfaces, quick refresh rate, very good value.
  • Cons: Below par brightness and contrast, some wayward colours, stand is very short and doesn’t rotate, not much vertical resolution.

AOC q2963Pm review

9 July 2013
  • Excerpt: The AOC q2963Pm isn't the most attractive 29in monitor we've ever seen, but there's a lot to like about this ultra-wide display. Its industrial slab-like design is a world away from the sleek curves of the LG 29EA93, but this 2,560x1,080 IPS display is great for multitasking with lots of individual windows and lending a more cinematic feel to your films and games. Despite having a huge stand, the AOC q2963Pm is not height-adjustable, so it felt a little low on our desk.

AOC q2963Pm (Exklusiv)

26 June 2013
  • Pros: saubere Verarbeitung, sehr gute Bildqualität (Kontrast, satte Farben), Blickwinkel, bestens geeignet zum Spielen, MHL-Unterstützung, Display-Port, Bedienung, VESA-Löcher, kein spiegelndes Display, fairer Preis
  • Cons: nur ein HDMI-Anschluss, keine Höhenverstellung, Soundqualität der Boxen
