Summary: The monitor looks great with no real downside, except that it takes a couple seconds longer to power up and get connected than I would have thought. However, I'm lucky it works at all. The box showed up like it had been through a shredder. There was an outer box and an inner box thankfully. Horrible packaging concept. I took pictures of it on my porch prior to opening. Luckily, it seems to work just fine.
AOC i2769VM: Great Image, Nice Design... but odd issue with laptop running Windows 7

Summary: This monitor is perhaps one of the best I've seen in terms of image quality (contrast, sharpness, color gamut, etc.), esthetics, and build quality. The panel is very thin, all plastic but with an overall solid feel, the desk support is solid (no wobbling) and the screen is treated with a good mate finish (anti-glare). Connectivity-wise, the monitor offers two HDMI connections (one with support for mobile devices) and analog VGA/D-sub.
Summary: Pros: Nice screen, works well for gaming/movies, works well with text for programming too. Sound is not great but better than many LCD's I have heard. The IPS does work well, I let my son watch Netflix while I am doing other things, and I am surprised how well it looks when looking at it from a sharp angle. Price :-) Cons: No DVI input. The menus are a real pain.
IPS Panel, support is difficult, buy 2 if you can afford it...

Summary: It is a large monitor which is impressive. The colors are good though not sure the accuracy, I have never owned an IPS panel before so supposedly the colors are more accurate than a "regular" monitor. Every monitor I have seen the colors are off from one to the next even two identical screens sitting next to each other, what looks good in one could be off a little to a lot depending on the screen.
very nice monitor, highly recommended, if you are not picky about the resolution.

Summary: very nice monitor, highly recommended, if you are not picky about the resolution. 1920x1080 is quite OK to me. Someone goes for 2xxx resolution, but I guess 27" is too small for that high resolution.
Summary: I've been very happy with this monitor, especially considering the price. I use it mainly for high resolution photo editing, typically uncompressed 24MP images. 4000 vertical and 6000 horizontal pixels on a 27" 16:9 ratio display require a resolution of about 300 DPI, which is well under the native resolution of the display. So you look at accuracy of color reproduction, brightness, contrast ratio etc. This monitor does well in all those areas.
