Pros: Sharp screen Excellent color Great viewing angles Great I/O connections VESA mount
Cons: No height adjustment Very thin bezel negated by a 1/4" border (screen doesn't display all the way to the bezel) so if you were looking for a multi-monitor setup with minimal bezel lines, this monitor will still have over a half inch of black between images.
Summary: Bought this to replace some smaller monitors that are a few years old. These work well as a budget conscious replacement and slight upgrade. Integrated speakers have some of the worst sound quality I've heard in my life that even 10 dollar Logitech speakers are miles better than it and adds pointless cost and weight to the monitor design/BOM. Its a solid monitor despite the slight cons, the picture quality and size won't disappoint for power users.
Pros: + IPS Panel + Big picture + Cost + DisplayPort Connection + VESA mount
Cons: - Sound quality is abysmal - Has VGA connection instead of DVI.
Summary: Because the viewing angle is still very good and its a nice bezel free design I am still considering buying 2 more for a widescreen setup. In this price range you will have tradeoffs. Some with better design, some with better color, some better input lag etc.. But for my needs this is the right choice. If you are looking to build a widescreen setup and what that wide viewing angle without loosing too much color depth this is a good option.
Pros: I purchased this from a local electronics store that had a little cheaper price than Newegg. But even at its current price, you'd be hard pressed to find a 27" monitor with a bezel-less design, Displayport and an IPS panel. I am very pleased with it overall minus a couple gripes.
Cons: First off this isn't a very high quality IPS Panel when it comes to color depth. I have an Apple Cinema Display as comparison and it nowhere near as rich in color or its black levels. Not that you should expect an exact match but its pretty prevalent. I spent a considerable amount of time right out of the box trying to adjust it and no go.. Its looks much more like a TN Panel then a good quality IPS. Secondly its stand is quite wobbly. Most of the 27" monitors in this...
Pros: Purchased this IPS display on sale to match the other monitor I have. I love these displays. IPS is the best Imo. I own 2 of these and they are fantastic for the money. I looked for several months at different sizes and brands both IPS and regular LCD/LED displays and decided on these. Love the ultra thin bezel around the top and they are also thin. Seem well made, or as well made as any Samsung or LG I've seen or owned. Haven't had one single issue so far and they ar...
Cons: The stand could be a bit bigger in terms of base size. But this isn't a con as more of a personal preference
Summary: Got this to watch video on our back porch. Did not want a large HDTV theft magnet, just a decent screen I could easily pick up and connect with minimal hassle. HDMI means a single cord is all I need to attach to a laptop or streaming video appliance. Integrated speakers and audio output give me plenty of audio options. The speakers are better than most average laptop speakers, although nothing to get excited about.
Pros: Decent price against competitors, especially on sale. Excellent IPS picture. Integrated speakers aren't bad at all. Includes 3.5mm stereo audio output. Includes VESA mount points.
Cons: Buttons are a little small and sensitive. Control interface isn't all that intuitive.
Excerpt: It's IPS - so colors are great, bezel is narrow, so the monitor looks smaller than the other 27", and seems like doesn't take that much space on your table(at least subjectively, I have 2 different monitors on my desk, so I can compare). Speakers are surprisingly good. Has HDMIx2 I wish it had a stand with more option to tilt/rotate etc., but you can use vesa mount OSD Control is not intuitive, but how often do you adjust your screen with buttons?
