Excerpt: I purchased this for my Mother after her old monitor died. I was surprised on how fast it was up and running. The Clarity is unbelievable, She has no problem seeing it. Laughs that it is a better picture than her Flat Screen TV. she doesn't have to sit on top of this to see it. i would recommend this to anyone who wants a Great Monitor for a fair price. I have had alot of monitors both home and at work.
Excerpt: I bought this monitor to replace my Acer 20" TN LCD with 900 pixels in height because I needed a monitor with 1080 pixels in height. This monitor meets that need. It also gives me a large display, 23.6" diagonal, which is more than my other monitor. So I can get work done now.But there are a lot of things about this monitor that really bother me.The most obvious is that you must view it directly on axis. When viewed 5 degrees from above, white looks pink.
Excerpt: I was looking for a 2nd monitor as I do work at home and need to cross reference notes as I type other notes. I wasn't looking to spend a lot and likely was looking for something in the 21" range. But at staples, they had this AOC 24" monitor open box at a considerable discount. So I bought it. Couldn't be happier. Image quality is good to excellent. Large bright screen. Good blacks. Has VGA and DVI inputs but no DVI cable.
Excerpt: Worked perfectly right out of the box. Crystal clear and better color than the 17" laptop screen, which was too small to see. I purchased a laptop for business, but failing eyesight made it difficult to work. This 24" monitor fixed the problem.
Excerpt: I got this monitor to replace my old external monitor that died irrevocably the last time our power blinked.I am a self-employed a translator & consultant and I work from home, primarily using a macbook pro. I constantly have multiple windows open on my screen so an external monitor is essential.I really wanted the 24" screen but I did not feel it was necessary to pay for so-called top-of-the-line since I don't need speakers in it and don't do gaming or anything of that...
Excerpt: There is a slight bleeding of light along the edges of the screen; more notable on the left and right sides. It is only really noticable with very dark colors like black when watching end credits of a movie or something. It isn't a huge deal, as long as it doesn't denote future failure. (Which I think this comes with a 3 year warranty, so if anything happens short term I should be fine).
