Summary: Bought as a second monitor so I was able to compare side by side against my alienware setup. Great for the price however with a response time of 5ms not one for gaming. Running PES side by side by duplicating my desktop really makes the difference noticeable. Great for pretty much everything else although the colour and scene options are very sensitive and finding the right preference could take a while. Hard to fault on other fronts.
Summary: So, I have been looking to upgrade from my Samsung 19" Syncmaster and I really wanted an LED monitor for space savings. They had this one at my local Best Buy for $169.99, I asked for 10% off and they gave it to me. Got it home and it was packaged very well. **Make sure you read the instructions on how to get it opened up and straightened up. There is a small metal switch on the bottom of the base that has to be switched over to open it up.
Summary: I was looking for an affordable 20-23" full HD, LED-LCD monitor screen to substitute for my old (secondary) 17" LG LCD monitor that complemented my (primary) Samsung screen. I stumbled upon this screen whilst searching for a Dell monitor, actually, that was recommended by a friend. I read good reviews and was intrigued by the VESA mount that is built into the base and the slim design.
Summary: This is an Ultra-Thin 23 inch Monitor, with a VGA input connector and a DVI D input connector, but not HDMI. I beleive this is now an old model, which is why it was so cheap (I paid just £73.90, inc carraige). Colours and picture quality are pretty good, after quite a bit of fiddling with the various Menu settings. The Monitor comes ready assembled on it's stand - all you have to do is push a small button under the base whilst swinging it into position.
Summary: Lovely quality monitor. Just be careful to read the instructions on how to adjust the base unit. A little flimsy on it's stand but it's very thin so can't expect too much. Well worth the money! Easy to connect vga or dvi cables. I use both so I can have a laptop or desktop pc using it when needed. Dvi cable doesn't come with it though.
Summary: The quality of the screen itself is very nice, and for the price I'd say it's above expectations. However, it loses a star for the following reason. The base of the stand and the arm are heavy duty and require some force to set it up. It's only a small area where the stand is attached to the screen.
Summary: This is one of the cheapest 23" Monitors I've found, averaging about £40 less than other good 23" Monitors. It's quality is somewhat of a downgrade in comparison to my 21.5" iMac. Side by side, It's clear that certain colour temperatures are a bit dull. On an RGB scale, the blue colour seems most dominant, demising both red and green by a very small, but noticeable fraction. Despite this, for general use this monitor is brilliant. The picture is sharp and welcoming.
Summary: Love the monitor, perfect for me as I don't use it 24/7 so I can notice the quality difference after my upgrade from an old Samsung. Really do recommend this AOC as it is stylish and good quality for a reasonable price for 23" monitor. Delivery was also before thanks Ballicom. Only CON - touch buttons seem to be a bit delayed.
