Perfect as a second monitor for work, or a monitor for presentations.

Summary: This monitor is an awesome monitor for presentations, small meetings, unexpected group skype calls in outlet-free workspaces, etc. It serves as a good portable second monitor to work. I take it with me to most conferences. My laptop (Lenovo X230) can power it from one USB 3.0 port (this monitor is USB 2.0, but USB 3.0 ports can provide almost twice the current).
Summary: I have one of these for my Macbook air. I like it so much I bought one for my daughter. Video aficionados don't like the "low refresh rate" and the occasional artifacts, but I'm mainly doing spreadsheets and ordering on Amazon, and for those things it's perfect. I seem to recall I had to download drivers before it worked, but it wasn't a hassle to do so.
Summary: I love this, one cable and the picture is great. Not for gaming but if you need email or many things open at the same time its a great deal. I have 4 monitors connected to a laptop, 2 using USB interfaces and they work great. This unit being only USB save you $50 bucks on the USB to VGA adapter plus the monitor cost.
Summary: Large, Bright display area. Colors are great and display speeds seem very quick. Light and easy to carry. My only complaint is how the stand is attached - it is hard to get it off if it is too hi and if you want to transport the monitor. If my HP is plugged in I need to only use one side of the double USB connector. It is sleek and attractive.
Summary: I am a recruiter and I don't always get a power cord when I go to university career fairs. This monitor is perfect for these types of situations because it can be powered from a laptop battery for 2-3 hours.
