Perfect as a second monitor for work, or a monitor for presentations.
Summary: This monitor is an awesome monitor for presentations, small meetings, unexpected group skype calls in outlet-free workspaces, etc. It serves as a good portable second monitor to work. I take it with me to most conferences. My laptop (Lenovo X230) can power it from one USB 3.0 port (this monitor is USB 2.0, but USB 3.0 ports can provide almost twice the current).
Summary: I have one of these for my Macbook air. I like it so much I bought one for my daughter. Video aficionados don't like the "low refresh rate" and the occasional artifacts, but I'm mainly doing spreadsheets and ordering on Amazon, and for those things it's perfect. I seem to recall I had to download drivers before it worked, but it wasn't a hassle to do so.
It needed a separate 5 Volt power adapter on my computer

Summary: The unit has a nice large and clear display but it is not as good as their smaller unit. The unit would NOT work on my HP pavillion notebook computer without using a separate 5 VDC power adapter. The drain on my computer affected my computer operation. I am dissappointed that AOC nor Amazon offer the 5VDC power adaptor as an accessory specifically for this unit. I found a universal DC power supply with an assortment of connectors.
The user manual is as much about what this monitor does NOT do as it does!

Summary: It is, apparently NOT plug and play, as it was described, I had to install a driver. Uses 2 usb slots for power. My monitor continually goes on and off, the screen has hundreds of lines flying through it. Has at least one stuck pixel. I think it does not have enough power to run. I am going to try to find a 5v power supply to see it it will work. Wasted money! Manual says it may not play games or play video. I honestly do not know why they even market this.
Summary: I love this, one cable and the picture is great. Not for gaming but if you need email or many things open at the same time its a great deal. I have 4 monitors connected to a laptop, 2 using USB interfaces and they work great. This unit being only USB save you $50 bucks on the USB to VGA adapter plus the monitor cost.
So far so good - Works for MacBook Air & Powerbook, mirroring iPad

Summary: This monitor is very light and the only issue carrying it is finding a suitable travel case. I'm keeping the box for now but looking for something just the right size. Note that it does not need external power to work but uses your computer's power source. There is a connection on the back of the monitor for a DC-5V power cord to plug in, but none is provided.
