Summary: This was second hand but in new condition. Great price. It was a little hard to set up ans I was panicking a bit getting no signal. I am a linux user but used windows to get it going. It was very difficult to install the drivers and the windows 8 driver was no good as far as I could tell. As well as that the included cd with drivers was hopeless. I had to download the driver from the web and got it going eventually.
Summary: I bought this monitor as I have to deliver a project which inevitably will be based on a touchscreen kiosk and so wanted to be able to test the components on a touchscreen device. The monitor is great and exactly what I needed. When I first installed the monitor (I am using windows XP) although it was plug and play the touchscreen facility didn't work.
Touch screen monitor - recommended (apart from MAC users)
16 March 2012
Summary: I nice product - good quality of construction - even packed in eco-friendly cardboard rather than polystyrene foam. Display is precise and accurate, colours match closely to other calibrated monitors. The only downside is that many ads for this product indicate it is suitable for PC and Mac operating systems. It is NOT.
Summary: I was hesitant at first about purchasing this item as I had not heard of the brand name. However, the product is of a high quality with rubber feet on the base and cable-tidy clips on the back, to hold all your cables in place. The screen is really high-res and a great definition. The resistive touch screen means you don't have to use human contact or a special stylus to operate it... nail, pencil, credit card... anything.
Summary: Got mine from amazon yesterday. Good sturdy design. and a great piece of Hardware. Instruction installation confusing at best. I am running it in windows vista Professional. Marketted as a multi touch but disappointingly only works as a single touch screen with my Vista. Did not come with any documentation except a single page of quick installation guide.
Summary: I required a monitor to connect to my netbook as the 10inch screen on this was too small for a software package that was installed. I looked around and checked the specs on lots of different touch screen monitors, they were all similar in price but I just couldn't find the information if it would work on Windows XP. I managed to contact the UK service contact for this machine, none of the others replied!!
Summary: This is an excellent monitor, images are crisp and clear, touch screen is very responsive, but just a note of caution, if you want to use the touch screen function, you need to have Windows 7 Professional edition or above installed, no where does it mention that.
Summary: It does its job, you can only use 2 fingers at once so I would not call it 'multi-touch', just make sure you have an American to UK plug converter handy as they don't mention that it does not come with a uk plug. I have set mine up as a dual screen with a non touchscreen and it accepts it and works perfect like this.
