Summary: Overall, not a bad choice if you're looking for an inexpensive monitor once it's set up, but it definitely has some major quirks that take some getting used to.
Pros: Bought this for my mother's new computer - it's incredibly thin, almost to the point of danger (more in the cons), very bright (good real-world contrast ratio, but see the cons too), and the touch-based controls on the base are very sleek. Looks great.
Cons: Fragile & extremely easy to break. I almost destroyed it when attempting to assemble it because of a locking mechanism that prevents the base from unfolding accidentally. I put this in the cons because it's very easy to miss, and minimally labeled. Because of how "soft" the monitor is, it's easy ...
Summary: This monitor is a HUGE improvement over my old 15-in, 1024x768. The flimsiness is not a big deal on my desk and the price was right. The VESA mounting holes are in the base - which makes some sense, since the connections are also in the base - BUT I still don't like it.
Pros: VERY Inexpensive. Good size. Fast. Bright. Very thin. Base folds flat for transport. Connections are in the base and VERY easy to access.
Cons: Stand feels a bit flimsy and the whole monitor wobbles a bit when touched. VESA mounting holes are in the base..
Summary: I was almost hesitant to sell this to my customer. Time will tell.
Pros: Good Picture, nice concept with the base. Cables hide well.
Cons: This is one flimsy monitor. I can almost count on getting a call for a cracked screen from adjusting the viewing angle. Make sure you "unlock" the mounting arm or you will easily destroy this monitor.
Pros: Monitor matches competitors with LED brightness and clarity. Set-up is a breeze despite excessive plastic wrap. The auto on/off feature is welcome.
Cons: Comes with VGA only. Tack on the price of a DVI cord if you are shopping. There is no listing in the specs of which cord is shipped. Most suppliers understand that customers will want both, if not the newest standard (not VGA).
