Would give it 5 stars except for one extremely annoying feature, the auto rotation of the screen

Summary: Would give it 5 stars except for one extremely annoying feature, the auto rotation of the screen. I use it as an external laptop monitor in a vehicle for the large map displays and every time I hit a bump the screen orients itself in portrait mode. This feature is horrible because I cannot find any way to turn it off. Due to this, the monitor it pretty much useless for me.
Summary: I used the thing for only 6 hours before the screen started flickering and eventually shut off completely. The USB port in the back of the monitor was so loose that the USB cord, when connected, wiggled like a loose tooth. Spend the extra and get Asus' USB powered monitor. However, I did not have any issues with the seller. They were prompt in shipping, and gave me no grief on the return.
Summary: I enjoyed using the monitor on a trip to a client's site but the monitor was not functional when I returned. I am currently three past the Amazon return policy and will try the manufacturer. I will update this review when I find out if they will honor the warranty. I would not recommend purchasing the monitor since my experiences suggest it is very fragile and will not survive the main purpose which is as a second monitor for traveling.
Summary: I purchased this monitor to be able to carry a second monitor with me when traveling for work. It functions perfectly. I have been recommending this monitor to anyone I know who is looking for a small, easy, lightweight, and portable second (or third) monitor to extend their desktop. I have plugged three of these into my laptop at the same time and they worked great with no lag or slow down of the computer itself.
Summary: What a wonderful concept! PROS: 1) It's a portable monitor which is reasonably lightweight which you can take with you for a second monitor experience. 2) Built-in stand lets you place monitor in either landscape or portrait orientation. 3) Built-in sensor picks up the orientation and the monitor auto adjusts. CONS: 1) The USB cord is very short (about 60 cm) And the monitor does not work with any of the USB 3.0-rated extension cables I have on hand. 2) Resolution.
Works really well, but be careful of the driver installation

Summary: I use this with my work laptop that is running Windows 7 64 bit. When I first installed the USB drivers the monitor work on the first try. Then there was a message that popped up saying I didn't have the most current drivers and to click to go out and get the latest. That was a mistake. Not only did the monitor cease to work, but it took several reboots to uninstall the drivers.
Works well for the bare bones purpose, but could be improved

Summary: I really wish that I could use something like my Retina iPad as a second monitor but there are no options on the market of that caliber. I considered using software that would allow me to use my iPad as a second monitor but all the issues of lag and underperformance led me to consider a USB portable monitor. As a second monitor, this model works fine... but it's going to look extremely low-res and old style if you use it side by side with a Macbook Retina.
Summary: Would have 5 stars except the maximum resolution is not up to par with modern laptop monitors, so you have a descrepency between screens. However, it must be said that the product is super useful and reliable. Within 12 hours of owning the product, it took a 6' fall onto the hard floor. It separated into three pieces and within 20 seconds i had it all snapped back together and it works great. Quality, very useful, meh resolution.
