Summary: I have two of these usb monitors, one first generation, one second generation (this model). I word from home in software application support and one of these is dedicated to Microsoft Outlook and the other for Microsoft Lync. Having a monitor dedicated for internal communications is the way to go, because the instant message windows won't pop up in the front of your work and get in the way.
Summary: This screen works just like I hoped it would. I have a 2012 Macbook Air and have used this screen with the Mavericks and Yosemite OSx updates with no major issues. Occasionally, there is a bit of lag when I have moving images on both screens, and the picture quality is obviously not as good as my mac's screen, but for someone who uses the second screen almost exclusively for text and programming, it does the job.
Summary: I bought this to set up a my work station for when working at home. I was unsure of the quality since it did not seem relatively expensive. I was very surprised and pleased to find it is so portable. As I transitioned from working at home to an off-site office, I've just kept it nicely in my car and bring it to any office space for work.
Summary: I bought this to use with my laptop as a second screen when working. Prior to receiving it, I thought I'd place it next to my laptop and use it in portrait mode. After receiving it, I realized there were a couple of issues with portrait mode: 1. It's very narrow, not very usable in my opinion 2. more importantly, in portrait mode, the screen colors become negative on the left side which makes it unusable in portrait mode.
Summary: I've purchased about 5 of these monitors so far to replace an earlier model for users who frequently travel to customer sites and everyone has been very happy with the performance and image quality. It's very light weight, has a nice solid metal stand and is nice and thin so portability isn't a problem. Two things to note: 1.
Would give it 5 stars except for one extremely annoying feature, the auto rotation of the screen

Summary: Would give it 5 stars except for one extremely annoying feature, the auto rotation of the screen. I use it as an external laptop monitor in a vehicle for the large map displays and every time I hit a bump the screen orients itself in portrait mode. This feature is horrible because I cannot find any way to turn it off. Due to this, the monitor it pretty much useless for me.
Summary: I was going to return it when I first got it and screen was just too bright, there is no doc to tell how to adjust it, then I checked the other comments, some said it is not adjustable. I submit help request form on their web site. And the support send me a pdf to show how to adjust the settings. Just right click on the display manager icon on the system tray and select this product and settings, then you see the screen that you can adjust brightness.
Summary: I bought two of this for using as 2nd and 3rd additional monitors for my pc. Easy to configure through my USB 3.0 ports. Had to buy two USB extension cords (3 feet) because of the distance to my PC. See my configuration on Pictures by Users.
