Summary: I am a traveling consultant so having a second monitor with me at all times was a huge plus. I am on my second monitor after TSA broke the first one. Though the resolution is less than I would like, it is great to have a second monitor.
Pros: Great to have a second monitor when traveling.
Cons: Does not work with new Lenovo L540 Laptop. Limited resolution. Unadjustable resolution.
Summary: This will be fine for reading PDFs on the side while I work on stuff on the main monitor. Now that I see it the critical specs seem to be resolution and contrast -- 1366 x 768 high definition resolution, 500:1 Contrast Ratio -- and these are not especially grand numbers.
Summary: Ok, so if you are using linux, you should already know that a non-standard device may take a few hours of tweaking to get working. That being said, I only spent about an hour and a half tweaking with xrandr and kernal versions to get it working; it is however possible to get this puppy running in...
Pros: I was quite excited when I bought this product. Excellent for extra desktop space when you need it. The screen is plenty bright, and manages basic desktop stuff just fine.
Cons: Where it falters is with interference with other drivers, nVidia Optimus it seems especially. Even with the screen removed, if I go to play a game, many games will error out. I was getting frustrated because I didn't pinpoint it to the LCD at first, then when I uninstalled the AOC LCD drivers eve...
Summary: I used this on my Windows 7 work laptop. It installed by itself, worked fine. The screen is very pleasant to view, bright and glossy. I took the monitor to and from work and then on the 10th day, the MicoUSB port became loose and the cable wouldn't stay in, as a result the monitor no longer connects...
Summary: It feels cheap, it looks cheap. It emits a high pitched hum that you can hear when it's quiet (put on some Slayer). It's only 1366x768 and it doubles as a mirror. With that said, the thing just works. It's super reliable, and requires no AC power. Only USB.
Excerpt: This product is working great for what I use it for. I bought it to attach to my laptop, be portable and be able to read my text books. It works fantastic for that. But when I choose to put a movie on there, either from online or dvd, the quality is horrible.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight
Cons: Inaccurate Colors, Little Detail, Not Sharp Image
Summary: First, the most important part: it DOES NOT include linux drivers. I could not get it to work on Ubuntu 12.04 or Crunchbang "Statler". This sis simply unacceptable, it needs to include these drivers or at least have some documentation on how to get it setup with 3rd party solutions.
