Summary: This is my second 22" Acer monitor. I also own an AL2223W, so the decision to buy another Acer (for my fiance) was an easy one. When it comes to cost/performance ratio, this monitor is an exceptional value. Plug-and-play, and if you like, Widows 7 automatically downloads a driver for it. Easy to navigate controls, but I didn't have to make any adjustments other than setting the resolution in CCC after installing O/S.
Summary: This is now my second monitor from Acer, and I am very pleased with it. Contrast and color are very good, and color is well balanced and deep. If I were shopping nowadays, I would get an LED version, as the contrast is even greater, but otherwise, just a great monitor that does exactly what is needed. Also the cycling of different settings; User defined, Text, Standard, Graphics, and Movie, really come in handy if you like to tweak settings for different use cases.
Summary: Ive owned and used this monitor for about a year and some months. does very well on graphics. I do alot of photo work and it gives me the right space I need for some good precision work. Video playback is also a plus for this monitor, although its not 1080p HD, but it gets the 720p resolution out without problems. As far as gaming goes, ive done a little bit of gaming (Left for Dead 1 & 2) running on a ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card.
Summary: I bought this monitor (even though used) because of the price and feel like it was a good buy. Screen picture is very good and overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. The only thing that bugs me are the controls for contrast and brightness. I can't seem to make them work (I downloaded the instruction manual so I hope I know what I'm doing). I probably don't need to adjust them very much as the picture is about perfect but I'd like that option.
Summary: Good product that does what it should at a good price. I own two and wouldn't hesitate to buy a third. Used in recording studio, good contrast and low eye strain after several hours of tracking/mixing.
Summary: Bought this monitor because I had been using an identical one and wanted to do dual screen. The first one had been very satisfactory, and had a good quality picture. Not to mention that the price was right. When I first set it up, I used some old cables I had instead of using the ones that came with the unit. I was getting ghosting on the right side of any dark entity. Was ready to send it back, then thought it might be cables.
Summary: I have owned 3 differant LCD monitors and a couple of differant CDT monitors. This is by far the best Monitor I have ever owned. The screen is large and it uses very little power. I am ssaving up to by another screen so I can have two monitors.
