Summary: GREAT ECONOMY MONITOR. EXCELLRNT VIDEO QUALITY AND EASY PLUG AND PLAY INSTALLATION. ONLY SHORTCOMING IS THE QUALITY OG THE INTEGRAL SPEAKERS, HAD TO GO BACK TO MY DETACHED YAMAHA SPEAKERS, SHOULDN HAVE HAVE EXPECTED THAT. STILL WOULD GO WITH THIS ONE.
Summary: This product was advertised as flexible by the manufacturer, and included height adjustment in its capabilities. When it arrived and I saw that the height was not adjustable, I contacted Acer support to see where I was misled. The Acer rep stubbornly insisted that it was not an adjustable model, even when I referenced the Acer web page that said it was. She insisted that I should take my problem to Amazon. I did contact Amazon, and the rep was fantastic.
Summary: I use a dual monitor workstation (normally both 24") for web development and video production. One of my monitors recently went south (quit working), and I went looking for a replacement. Though this monitor is only a 23", the reviews were good and I've always had good luck with Acer products. I'm glad I went with it, it actually exceeds my ViewSonic for color, brightness, and pixel quality.
Summary: The monitor I received is defective and simply turns itself off all the time and won't come back until you unplug the power cable. It seems to work at most for 20 minutes before it starts to flickr on/off. Tried on multiple computers both PC and Mac with the DVI and vga cable, in all cases it is doing the same thing.
Summary: I have had resolution problems with this large a screen with Windows 7 and viewing the ribbons and icons in Word and Excel. My H-P printer does not like the default setting for resolution but wants 640 X 480 as does PDF Convertor. If I use this setting, everything else is gigantic.
Summary: When it works its fine but I have gone through two monitors now both with defective switches. Acer says they will replace it if I ship it back but that costs $50.00. I now have a Samsung which is great.
Summary: The monitor arrived in great shape, and in less time than I expected. I removed the ancient 17-inch flat-panel monitor from the computer, connected this one, and started everything up. It was recognized by the operating system (Ubuntu Linux 10.04) immediately and with no intervention on my part. Bright, sharp and huge, especially compared to the old one I had been using. The only problem I have had is the location and sensitivity of the power switch.
