Summary: This monitor is a good value for around $170. No HDMI or 1920 x 1080 resolution, but DVI will allow 1680 x 1050 resolution. Not great, but not bad for the price. Colors are not as vivid nor is the text as crisp as seen on higher resolution monitors. But once again, not bad for the price. My son has used this monitor for 3 years with no problems.
Summary: I replaced my 17" monitor with this 22" when the old one started to give me problems. I have had this one for about a year and couldn't be happier. I love the size and the picture. I couldn't believe how much difference there is between a 17" screen and a 22" screen. Night & Day.
Summary: So far, this has been a great monitor. I had no problems installing it (Windows XP) and setting it up in a dual-monitor system. I'm not doing anything particularly fancy; mainly a work machine (word processing, desktop publishing, occasional graphics).
Summary: This is my first flat screen monitor, much less a wide screen aspect one. I got it because I need more room on screen for various applications and it does the job for me. But it does not work well in wide screen resolution (1280x768). Images are fine but text is spotty and hard to read. Therefore, I use it in 1024x768 which works well for text (and gives me more room to fit multiple windows but not nearly as much as I was hoping for... ie. the 1280x768).
Summary: This product was defective. Had a blue line right down the side. I thought it was a great deal for the price, but in addition to the defect I found this monitor to be dull and faded. I wound up getting a Gateway for just a few dollars more that not only worked well, but has incredible clarity. I have purchased 2 Gateways in the last 4 years (this one I gave to my father and I have another from 4-5 yrs ago for personal use), and am convinced it's worth the extra money.
Summary: This is my second Acer. I bought both wanting more monitor space for my work and home, as well as not wanting to pay much for it. These have both been great monitors (both 22'). They don't do anything fancy other than give me more screen space. The image quality is very good. I have no complaints. I'm sure it would be nice if they could pivot and basically have more freedom of movement/positioning, but I'm usually just sitting in front of them, so...
Summary: my computer is an i mac however the monitor comes with an instruction booklet that is useless !! the included instruction disc is for windows only. i called customer service and was connected to india only to be told that they only support windows and not apple --- that they do not have a disc for apple . i then went to their website which had instructions for downloading the drivers for windows and vista--- not for apple .
Summary: I purchased two of these monitors for my computer build to use in a dual screen setup. They arrived packaged very well, with no dead pixels. The thin frame around the edges makes them very ideal for a dual screen setup, but honestly, after unboxing the first one, I realized with just how big it is that one should've been enough!
