Summary: This is a monitor for someone who wants something that functions well and is economically sound. Out of the box, it was very straight forward to set up. Plug the power into an outlet, plug the VGA into the desktop/laptop, hit the power button, you're up and running. The monitor comes with both of the wires you need to use it. Niether of the wires are particularly long so if you intend to run the cables a long distance that could be an issue.
Summary: packaging was horrible. almost to the point I refused acceptance. It had a crack in the left bottom bezel/frame. But I pushed it back in and it is at least in line, so it isnt super visible. Picture if fine & it was extremely inexpensive... so I kept it. If I wasnt so lazy I would have returned it... but it gets the job done as my second monitor.
Decent monitor, lower resolution than Macbook laptop

Summary: Bought it as a monitor for my workstation, the resolution is actually lower than my laptop (I have a 13" Macbook Air), so I ended up reselling it and buying a larger, higher-resolution monitor.
