It is far better than I hoped.

Greg P., Newegg
16 October 2012
  • Summary: If you need a touchscreen, this is it.
  • Pros: Beautiful screen. Great for games. Great for movies. Great colors and font detail. Touchscreen it amazing.
  • Cons: I got bored with the touch screen. It's cool but for a monitor you get tired of leaning over to press stuff.

That's heavy, man

Georgeanna W., Newegg
16 August 2012
  • Summary: I got this for the Windows 8 touch screen function. It may be that I love it, but since I can't really mount it in a convenient orientation for my laptop, I may never find that out.
  • Pros: Nice video. I haven't used the touch screen feature yet, so I might change my mind. Fine for a desktop (warning for attempting to mount on stand!)
  • Cons: Insanely heavy. Great video is one thing, but if I can't mount it where I can use it, it sucks. I never had to watch (hah!) the weight of a monitor as a spec, but I'm trying to put it on a dual monitor stand and it is really a bear. When mounted with 1" monitor screws, the cables in back struggle...

Like the guy said, can work with XP.

Richard N., Newegg
22 May 2012
  • Pros: Works well with Windows 7. Can get to work with Win XP with work around.
  • Cons: Using the HP Monitor driver (HP/Compaq L2105tm touch screen monitor). Download the touchscreen driver, not just the LCD Monitor driver. "HP Compaq L2105tm Touch Driver Software" Note: Does not have the on-screen keyboard that Windows 7 has for touch screens (with auto-hide). But you can always tu...

It is XP Compatible

Teresa S., Newegg
18 April 2012
  • Summary: I own the Acer T231H and the HP/Compaq L2105tm touch screen monitors. I prefer the Acer hands-down. Some have said that the T231H monitor is not windows XP compatible. That is the reason I bought the HP monitor. I have tested the Acer model with the HP driver.
  • Pros: Kiosk mode for retail use.
  • Cons: Price

  • Summary: After troubleshooting for probably two hours and a fresh Win7/Driver reinstall I came to this conclusion...... When I unplugged the usb cable an icon named "Flicks" would disappear and upon plugging it back in the "Flicks" would reappear but after trying to configure the touch part it would not...
  • Pros: Display resolution looks good
  • Cons: Had to RMA due to digitizer(?) not working.

Good, but not great

Karl R., Newegg
16 March 2012
  • Pros: The video quality of this display is way above average. I am still amazed by the crisp and brilliant colors.
  • Cons: The touch system supports only 2 simultaneous touches. Modern Operating Systems however are heading towards the true, 10-finger multi touch experiences. For the most part though, if all your interested in is single touch or pinch-zoom type interactions, this isn't a bad way to go. The stand sits ...

worst (best) thing i ever bought

Brandon G., Newegg
5 March 2012
  • Summary: buy this, the only bad thing is you will want to buy a second
  • Pros: it is amazing! i am hooking this up to a high power audio work station, nothing compares to the ease i am able to perform simple button clicks and level adjustments. this is one of the most awesome things i have ever worked with. a ton of screen space to work with as well.
  • Cons: you will never want to use another computer. this makes life so easy you will start trying to poke at all computer screens.

Michael R., Newegg
1 March 2012
  • Summary: Price is a little high but I'm not regretting this purchase. It brings new life to my pc.
  • Pros: Big bright perfect color touch screen is fair quality. Windows 8 plug and play.
  • Cons: Back of screen looks cheap unsure on backlight technology and touchscreen technology is not as good as my iPhone

Ok but only works with win7

Jason C., Newegg
27 February 2012
  • Summary: Don't expect the touch screen feature to work unless you have windows 7 installed. This lack of backwards compatibility is unacceptable and it would have been quite easy for Acer to make drivers for this device for older OS's and even Linux.
  • Pros: Nice size and clarity. Came with DVI, HDMI and USB cable. Works great. Have a few of these at work.
  • Cons: Only supported by Windows 7 operating systems. No drivers on CD or on website for Vista or XP. Called and Acer tech support does not offer any drivers for this device. In fact, it runs off the built in drivers from windows 7. There are no drivers for it period. For some reason the screen will goe...

Good monitor for a mediocre idea

Anonymous, Newegg
25 February 2012
  • Summary: Picked this up from an outlet. A rare instance of a cheaper price elsewhere. I have a 4 monitor setup, using the touchscreen as the central monitor. I would only want 1 of these. It is ok for browsing, but I think Mr Softie made an error, because lifting your hands to touch a monitor is many times...
  • Pros: Good size touch monitor (2-touch under Win 7). Responsive. Does not actually require touching the screen, since sensors can detect your finger (stylus, whatever) just before making actual contact. Bright, clear picture at full HD.
  • Cons: Glass screen is reflective. Speakers are only passable (don't expect miracles) and sometimes produce a "Click" sound (And yes, I have the latest drivers installed.) I am getting sound through the HDMI connection so I do not use the included Audio-Out cable.
