Summary: The monitor only lasted months before it went bad. I barely used it only for watching moves and little gaming. The problem is the screen begins to flicker a lot, and you can only fix it by adjust the viewing angle. After awhile, even if you adjust the viewing angle, the screen continues to flicker permanently. I have had several acer products before with no problems, but I highly do not recommend this product.
Good Monitor - but not a long life - less than 3 years

Summary: I bought this monitor back in 2011 - so just short of three years, and it served me well for that time. Today, a slight power blip knocked it out - no more display. In reading the reviews - I saw that it had a three year warranty if you registered it. I did not, I am used to having monitors last 5-7 years. It worked well for my needs and was easy on the eyes - the large format was great for photoshop work, and software development needs for my working from home.
Summary: this is a extremely nice monitor ...the screen resaloution is very crisp .the menu is easy to operate ..the hdmi cable is in the back of the base really cool bein out of way and easy to unconnect and reconnect if you have a portable computer that you use to move around the house.really sturdy base lots directional movement allowed.doesnt swivel left to right but nice.the ips tecnolagy is a huge difference.the glass screen makes to cool too..
Summary: Received yesterday and plugged in PS3 with HDMI cable provided with the monitor. The picture came on right away and liked the colors and quality of the images. The sound wasn't on, but that was due to my PS3 settings. Went into settings for display on the PS3, and selected HDMI for the picture and sound and the sound came on.
Summary: Pros: Awesome gaming experience! Movies and cartoons look great 27" is a nice sweet spot for 1080p It comes fully assembled! Two HDMI ports Controls are right on top of the base, really easy to access 3 Year Warranty from Acer (Make sure you register it, some companies only give you the full warranty period if you register it within 30 days) Comes with an HDMI cable with ferrite cores! (more expensive cable) Ferrite cores are supposed to help avoid interference.
Summary: I recently upgraded to the Acer S275HL from an old Dell 19 in. I got mine for $302. Wow . . . what a change for the better. I wanted a 27 inch monitor that didn't have its cables sticking out the back of the screen. As the Acer S275HL's cables plug into the back of the base, that's not a problem. And as a LED monitor, the S275HL's whites are whiter (and cooler) than my old monitor, and the colors are amazingly vivid without being over-saturated.
