Summary: I'm a user experience/interaction designer. I work on a 15" Macbook Pro and I really like using this monitor to expand my workspace. The setup was very easy, the monitor is light and easy to position, it hardly takes up any space on my desk (leaving more room for my Wacom tablet), and the light is...
Summary: The monitor works well, but it is at the high end in size for the resolution. I wouldn't recommend getting a monitor larger than 27-inches for 1080p, as the near end of the normal viewing for a monitor makes the pixels visible. The unit is very light and easily carried with a single hand.
Summary: Works straight out of the box! No dead pixels, runs cold. Colors are vivid and crisp. Primary use for me is CS5 photo editing as secondary monitor. The monitor is super thin and light, maybe a bit too light and wobbly if you are planning on using one of these on a boat.
Summary: First of all, I have to say "no" to those 2 people who rated 1 star, I read almost every single review before i purchase this monitor (27 inch), I was about to connect both my PC and XBOX on to this computer, so after i read 1 of the 1 star review which stating that have major problem for switching,...
Summary: First thing I noticed out of the box is that this big screen is so slim and light, even a lot lighter than my old 19" LCD Sony monitor. The big sreen is so thin that I was afraid to bend and break it. It works perfectly with my new Acer PC. I've had the screen for over 3 weeks. Everything is great.
Summary: I walked around at a local electronics store, and as soon as I saw this monitor I knew it was the one. The resolution exists on similarly priced but smaller monitors. The sheer size is just incredible. I paid $280, and get excited every time I use it. It is wonderful to have such screen space.
Summary: Went through three different 27" monitors and this was my last hope before giving up and going to a 24" screen ... I'm glad I put in the effort. I'm using this with my Macbook Air (DisplayPort to HDMI) and the quality is absolutely brilliant.
Summary: I formally used a 19" monitor before, so the size difference for me is huge. The Acer has some good points and some bad points. Good: -Screen is very bright -Easy to install -Resolution is great. Bad: -The user interface is a little weird.
