Acer S273HL

CNET
7 June 2011
  • Summary: For AU$599, it's hard to be too unkind to the S273HL. Still, for a little more you could get the far superior U2711 — it all depends on your wallet.
  • Pros: Relatively cheap 27-inch offering, Power frugal, Large pixel pitch will help those who find themselves squinting at screens
  • Cons: No DVI port, Little adjustment of stand, 3.5mm in only functions with VGA port, Auto-switches input when machine goes to sleep, TN panel, Awful speaker, Annoying button placement, Display is overly sharp, Poor HDMI movie performance, Excessive backlight bleed, Comparatively poor pixel warranty, No quick input switching button

  • Conclusion: A unique and attractive design sets the S273HL apart, and its LED backlights help it achieve brilliant contrast and good colour reproduction, but it's far too expensive.

Acer S273HL Large Panel

GadgetSpeak
26 November 2010
  • Summary: While panel s over 20inches are becoming normal, 23inches is no longer regarded as large but this monster from Acer at a true 27inches must still qualify. Remembering the weight of my first 17inch monitor this panel is far less.

Acer S273HL

TechRadar UK
23 November 2010
  • Excerpt: At nearly £400, the new 27-inch Acer S273HL looks rather lonely. It's much more expensive than budget-oriented 27-inch monitors such as Iiyama's E2710HDS. And yet it's significantly cheaper than Dell's high-end U2711 uber panel.

Test: Acer S273HL (TFT-Monitor)

CHIP Online
4 February 2011
