Summary: To be straight to the point, this monitor is extremely good. However, the only aspect of the monitor i am not too happy about is the location of the outputs. All of the plug ins are straight out of the back rather than the bottom which can restrict you from either putting the monitor straight against the wall of using a wall mount. It can get tricky with the cords and how to effectively use it for a wall mount (which is what I did anyway).
Summary: It tunes, it plays and the paint job is crap. But it as I said, it was 50 bucks. I was impressed that there was no neck bowing when I received it. I think the strings are pretty cheap, I am curious to see what it sounds like with better strings. So all in all, I am impressed for what I got for the cheap price.
Summary: I just received two of these monitors last night. I was replacing some broken ViewSonic VG2230WMs which provided excellent service for many, many years. The two new Acers are flanking my ViewSonic CDE3201LED 32" LED-Lit center screen. I also have 2x DoubleSight DS-70Us (7") and 1x DoubleSight DS-90U (9"). I thought this was important so you could see what I'm comparing the new Acers to. First, the Acers were SUPER easy to assemble.
Summary: Great second monitor. The only downside is that the power switch and controls are a bit awkward. Very bright! I reduced brightness to 25. It came with 2 meter VGA, DVI and HDMI cables. I bought an extra HDMI cable for no reason.
Summary: This is a great monitor. Wall-mount capable (though it doesn't come with the hardware for it), and plenty bright. Only complaint is that it is not feasible to adjust or rotate the screen angle. Would have been better if the angle wasn't so fixed.
Summary: I found this Acer S231HL at our local Walmart. I immediately came home and found this same model on Amazon. I quickly returned it to Walmart and purchased it on Amazon and received it in 3 days....less taxes and free shipping. I save over $30 this way. It assembles easily and interfaces with computer.
Excellent color and display, user interface not so hot!

Summary: I picked up a used monitor here on Amazon and when it arrived the only way you could tell that it wasn't new as the packaging. It came in the original box, however it had been re-taped. None of the protective film had been removed, so it came out of the box like a brand new one. I'll take that any day with the savings I got! Pros: Very bright and colorful display Size 23" Inputs take your pick!
Summary: PROS: -Excellent picture quality for the price range -Very small and lightweight, but solid structure (read below about the stand - the exception) -Sleek, attractive, minimalist design -Comes with HDMI, DVI, and VGA cords -No problems interfacing with laptop and desktop computers -No dead pixels CONS: -Less than perfect buttons and user interface -Can't disable the power button's light -No extra features like speakers or USB Hub (but I knew that getting into the deal, so...
Summary: I bought this monitor for my wife and she absolutely loves it. The Color is great, and everything is very crisp. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to brightness. Even with the Brightness maxed out and messing with the contrast it still seems a tad darker then all my other monitors. That however doesn't diminish the picture quality. This is a great monitor and I would recommend to anyone.
