25% off these monitors I've purchased have an unfortunate fainting issue

Andrew Moore, Amazon
11 March 2014
  • Summary: These are pretty monitors, they're light, and they have excellent saturation, especially under the Graphics color profile... but so far 2 of the 8 that I've purchased for work have a problem with just "blanking out" to a black screen briefly. This happens when connected via VGA and DVI. Searching online, apparently a number of Acer monitors have a blanking out issue.

OK for occasional use - not for a full workday

Darren Knowles, Amazon
19 October 2013
  • Summary: The contrast on this display is poor, making for eyestrain if reading or working with text for a whole day. I bought this for my home office but was disappointed. The contrast was not noticeably better than my old HP w22 display. Get an IPS screen if you need something to work on - that is what I did. Not much more expensive, and much deeper blacks.

Good Monitor, Misleading Picture/No audio out

Technosonics, Amazon
10 September 2013
  • Summary: Pros: The monitor is great/quality is higher than most monitors in this price range Cons: Amazon shows a picture of the back of the monitor and shows an audio out but the model doesn't come with an audio out! The model that amazon puts as its main picture isn't the acutal model you'll be buying. The technical specs aren't very detailed and don't say if it does/doesn't have an audio out,so had to base the buy off the accuracy of the picture and guess it was a wrong one.

  • Summary: The Monitor itself is nice. It's refurbished, which means it's preowned. But it does work well, and it's rather large, which is nice. It did arrive with a blemish on the screen. And, presumably, this is why it was returned. But the blemish isn't large enough for me to be bothered by it, which is part of the reason I didn't return it right away. But, be aware, when you buy a refurbished product, it was returned because there's something wrong with it.

24 February 2012
  • Summary: i brought it home was all happy it worked good, fast forward 2 months. i came home. it wouldnt turn on, contacted customer service, they said it was under warranty i but i had to pay shipping to them. i got quotes and most of them was $90-$125(almost as much as i payed). so i told them i would not be sending it in, took a sledge hammer to the thing, felt better and got an asus.
