OK for occasional use - not for a full workday

Darren Knowles, Amazon
19 October 2013
  • Summary: The contrast on this display is poor, making for eyestrain if reading or working with text for a whole day. I bought this for my home office but was disappointed. The contrast was not noticeably better than my old HP w22 display. Get an IPS screen if you need something to work on - that is what I did. Not much more expensive, and much deeper blacks.

  • Summary: The Monitor itself is nice. It's refurbished, which means it's preowned. But it does work well, and it's rather large, which is nice. It did arrive with a blemish on the screen. And, presumably, this is why it was returned. But the blemish isn't large enough for me to be bothered by it, which is part of the reason I didn't return it right away. But, be aware, when you buy a refurbished product, it was returned because there's something wrong with it.

  • Summary: Have had this monitor for about a month now. The main problem I have is making adjustments. The instruction book is very vague so it's a trial and error type of thing. All the controls are located on the right under the unit and are not market in any way. You have to hold one down and work another to make any adjustment. Even going on line and asking questions, it is still had to figure these out.

Good price and resolution, but washed out colors, and bad viewing angles

R.S., Amazon
30 July 2011
  • Summary: Let's start with the positives: -Nice resolution and pretty good contrast ratio -Lightweight and thin -LED backlight helps save on energy $$$ -Very affordable price Now the negatives: -The colors are very washed out and there are no good settings to fix it (even on the "warm" setting, the colors are far less vibrant than my previous 6 year old LCD) *updated*-The angle of the screen leans forward and is only adjustable using a 5/16 crescent wrench.
