Question: Will not turn on.

Cannot get the monitor to come on, although the computer says it is working correctly. Have rebooted twice, checked the plugs (unplugged and replugged in), power strip works fine. Newer. What now?

    You can just about bet that the capacitors are gone. I have the same problem with my Acer piece of junk and it's only 3 months old. I have an older ViewSonic that has the same problem. According to a guy selling a repair kit for ViewSonic the problem with most monitors are their under rated capacitors. I'll never guy another ViewSonic or Acer monitor again. My old HP is still running strong.
