Summary: Loved this monitor until today. Purchased 2/21/11 and used infrequently. All of a sudden today my screen went white and pink with vertical lines. Attached another monitor to my system so I know the monitor has gone south. I has a 3 yr warrenty with Acer, but now I have to go thru the pains of packing it up, paying for shipping and being w/out until it is fixed. Maybe I just got a lemon, but don't think I will be buy another.
Summary: Let me start out by saying that I am die-hard dell, but their monitors are out of my price range. I got this expecting to be disappointed and wishing that I had sprung for the Dell, but I am pleasantly surprised. It is a great monitor at a great price. It has the DVI inputs as well as the VGA so it should connect to just about any computer without any additional cords from what come with it.
Summary: The screen display ratio is set at 16:9 and there appears to be no way to change it. Therefore using it as a computer monitor results in a distorted (stretched) image, which is particularly annoying when editing photographs.
Summary: I received this monitor as an early birthday gift and what a surprise it was! The images are crisp, the color is vibrant, and with the widescreen, there's more room on my desktop to multitask. I like the one-touch presets to adjust the brightness according to what you're doing. I've only had it for a few days, so I don't know about the longevity of it, but so far I'm happy as a clown on Prozac!
Summary: My HP monitor spontaneously stopped working. Therefore, I was looking for a 20 inch monitor, but did not want to pay a lot for it. I saw an add on Office Depot, which had it on sale for a Benjamin. I knew I had to buy this. Plus, I heard Acer makes pretty good monitors. For the price, this monitor is very good. I love how bright the colors are. The resolution is very vivid. In addition, the monitor gives the user picture options, which can be found on the latest LCDs.
