Acer Widescreen Monitor - Two years and running - very nice picture and no problems at all
19 February 2013
Summary: Purchased this monitor about two years ago for our college bound daughter, and it was part of a package deal (laptop, printer and monitor). She took the printer and laptop to college but did not need the monitor... and since I had an old Dell non-widescreen as part of my home workstation, I gladly kept it! Am very glad that I did... It has an excellent image; very clear and true color. There is no fading near the edges of the screen like I have experienced with others.
Summary: Pro: Excellent picture quality. Ease of use/set up. Samll foot print. Con: Poor/low volume. Excellent monitor for the money. It just barely fits under the kitchen cabinet. The remote control has nice feel, and is smartly designed/responsive. I would happily give it 5 star, except for the very low/poor volume.
Summary: I bought an Acer P191W monitor less than one year ago. Now, for some unknown reason, the monitor powers up, then flashes a message of 'NO SIGNAL', then goes black. I tried several methods of correcting the problem. Upon doing a little research #which I wish I would have done before I bought this monitor#, I discovered that there is an inherent problem with Acer monitors for which there is no easy solution.
Summary: Accustomed as I am to the "Square" screen of older monitors, I was at first put off by the "wide angle" view of this monitor. But it is very sharp, very clean, and I have grown to like it very much.
Summary: I was looking for a new monitor, and I subscribe to Consumer Reports. They recommended this model for this size screen. They were right on. This is a very good buy for the money. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Summary: I bought this for the preacher up the street, and I wish it were mine. It would look really good next to my 21" Acer on my desk. Can't ever have too much real estate, right? I've been happy with every Acer monitor I've ever used. They look good.
