Summary: I've been using this monitor about 10 months or so. The gaming in 3d is remarkable. The 3d ready is a nice feature that uses less componants and works flawlessly. Not one pixel out and zero bleed through. I did purchase this monitor through amazon when it was very new and 600 smackers. I also purchased a square trade electronics warranty for 3 years on it as well (just in case). all and all it's a beatiful monitor for gaming and whatever else floats your boat.
Summary: I am very happy with this product. The biggest fault for me was the length of the DVI cable. It is about 4 feet long and I needed longer. This monitor can use HDMI and dual link DVI-D so I searched for info on the difference between the two. Most info suggested the only difference is the fact that HDMI cables carry audio and DVI doesn't so I ordered HDMI.
Summary: A long time ago (1987!) I saw a film that took place in New Zealand's Southern mountain range. The film was short, but shot in 60-frames-per-second. The difference in action was incredible, and ever since then watching movies at 24 fps was just painful to watch. So when the 120Hz LCD monitors started to come out, I was drooling. I wanted my games at this high FPS and on an LCD. I wanted all my media at this high framerate, just like the older CRTs of yesteryear.
Summary: If you are looking for a big with 3D monitor this is our way to go.. But if you want a high quality picture experiance, this not the monitor you want. personal evaluation for this monitor.. 3D effect and ease of use: 7/10 Picture Quality: 7.5/10 Features: 8/10 Input options: 8/10 Overall rating: 7.5/10 One last thing to say, if u r using multimonitors this one has to be the main monitor for the 3D to be active.
Summary: I bought a refurbished one for something like $200 off. No mention of why it was refurbished, but everything seems to be in order. Having seen it in person now, I'm glad I didn't pay full price and I learned never to buy a monitor without seeing one in a store - no matter how many reviews I read first. For almost $700 retail, this should really be a better display IMO. That said, it isn't all bad.
Summary: out of the box, the screen is just too bright, even after reducing the brightness and contrast to zero's the white is blinding which makes other colors look lighter. (calibration?) other than that, everything is ok, movies are good, motion is solid, didn't notice any tearing, leaking or ghosting. and with nvidia glasses and the built in emitter, 3D looks great and games are a lot of fun. I've noticed a little crosstalk sometimes but nothing major.
Summary: Ok I have only had it for a short time. I will add more to this review later. For now the white banding problem is only noticeable when you have a very dark screen. Other than that the screen looks awsome during movies and browsing. I had to turn the brightness down even further than the ECO mode for browsing because there is so much white on web pages. 3d is so far pretty good.
Summary: I bought this monitor on Amazon. As I opened the box, everything was brand new as I was expecting. Connecting was No problem, comes with everything you need for 2D mode on 120hz and also nice set of glasses. I did not buy this monitor for 3D use, however when I turn it on there was ton of back light bleeding. Tried playing BF3 and its very awesome, my eyes actually rest with 120hz refresh rate.
Summary: I always start off with 5 stars and take off stars for certain "cons". In this case, I can not rightly give the HN274H 5 stars because I specifically bought this monitor for the 3D. The 27" was just a bonus. In order to reduce the ghosting, you have to set the Nvidia Control Program's 3D depth (or the depth setting) to the absolute minimum (0%) or with minimal ghosting, around 4%. This is unacceptable IMHO.
Summary: I already had 3D glasses 6 years ago - that was a somewhat interesting experience then, however more for showoff than everyday gaming - and lots of bugs. This one however, is nothing less than STUNNING ! I have used it for long periods without any headaches, do not see any blinking (except if the surrounding area is very lighted), the ghosting is only occasional and will not affect the experience.
Pros: No blinking, very minimal ghosting, at last a monitor bright enough for 3d glasses, a breeze to use
Cons: Bright picture for 2D - could be dimmed out but I enjoy it as is. Front control switches not so easy to navigate (but still ok).
