Summary: This monitor is fantastic for the price. I have no regrets purchesing this monitor. It isn't as clear as a say, an Apple Display, but then again i'm also not paying with body parts for this monitor either. The clarity is fine for whatever you need unless you are doing professional imaging.
Pros: Big, clear, bright, looks great.
Cons: Monitors default OSD is way to short if you aren't use to the touch buttons, but can be changed. Sometimes its actually too bright at night.
Summary: Really disappointed that I have to return such a beautiful monitor because they couldn't write ten lines of code to make it work with my Mac.
Pros: Beautiful display.
Cons: Display adjustment menus do not work in the Mac OS. The manual is useless, as are the Indian drones who man the support chat lines. When you register the monitor or seek tech support, you don't even get the choice of Mac OS. All you get is Windoze, Linux, and "other". Ridiculous in 2012.
Summary: It's quite good given that it's a low-price monitor.
Pros: It's so BIIIIGGG! The default setting was very bright - it worked fine in Eco (green) mode and it reduced eyestrain. I believe this is a TN-style monitor (see Wikipedia for TFT LCD). When viewed straight on, it dims somewhat -- it's brightest when viewed from above at maybe 30 degrees. However, I...
Cons: It tilts a little and rotates a lot. However, this does not pivot / swivel, that is from normal landscape (horizontal) to portrait (vertical). I had to buy a separate stand for some $50. That's why I removed one egg. If they did that, it'd be great if the monitor's menu also could be rotated - it...
Summary: Bought this at a local store "refurbished" for less than 2 bills. Also got the 2 year warranty for $20. I'm sure it was returned new because of the minor bleed through when viewing movies. For gaming and surfing and office productivity it's awesome. Also have an Acer 23" LCD and love them both.
Pros: Great imaging, very light weight, no heat loss, Acer quality, lots of real estate but not too much. HDMI, DVI and VGA- prefer DVI personally.
Cons: Some bleed through on edges - but only noticeable watching movies and only since I started looking for it after calibrating on a VERY detailed website. Sometimes knowledge is a bad thing. :/
Summary: I don't play serious games; so I don't know whether the monitor response time is adequate for a dedicated gamer. Gamers or serious music listeners probably won't like the speakers, although they are fine for me and help reduce my desktop clutter.
Pros: Outstanding value! (bought on sale with free shipping) Big screen. Speakers -- good enough for my purpose. Bright with no dead pixels. LED backlight -- more energy efficient. Will probably buy another when goes on sale again.
