Summary: Bought this for use as a monitor with my laptop, and secondarily watching tv through the HDMI. Fantastic colours and depth, along with image resolution, unfortunately the unit I had produced no sound, so sent back and bought a newly reduced Samsung. Could've purchased a an amp and speakers , bit that kind of defeats the portability I wanted.
Summary: This monitor started off well, it looks good and is well screwed together. Picture quality, colours etc were all ok, nothing more. However the menue buttons were not working properly, sometimes they would work, other times they wouldn't! I kept it for a week or so to see if it would sort itself out but it didn't!
Summary: One line summary: absolutely fine though I don't like the separate power supply. A good sized monitor for the price, and once I had my computer set up for 32 bit colour this monitor gave nice smooth colours with no "banding" when watching DVDs. Nice and clear text the rest of the time. Pleasantly surprised to see it came with some of the cables - a DVI, VGA and sound (3.5mm jacks each end). However no HDMI cable, but I think that's fair enough at this price.
Summary: What to say, most of the other reviewers have put detailed reviews up. I purchased one on the strength of those and once delivered and powered up I can say that I am very happy. No dead or bright pixels... First class product at a cracking price.
Summary: Just two words : absolutely brilliant. Very sharp picture (1920x1080) with vivid colors, even with 40% brightness. Did not expect such a good image. Some minor problems were : (1) how to tilt - you have to manage to pull out the leg and (2) menu is a little bit fiddly. Various kinds of power (both euro and UK) and video/audio cables are included.
Summary: I'm sorry I have to give this monitor 3 stars, but it's far from being perfect, although it's acceptable for the price. Yes it's big. The colours are not bad. I wish the cable was a little longer. Maybe twice as long. No HDMI cable. Is that a joke? What would it cost to include one? But the main point: contrast ratio 100 million? I suppose that's the max value. Typical value is not indicated in the details, maybe for a good reason.
Summary: Firstly, I'm amazed it worked after seeing the condition of the package it arrived in. I was promised a 3 to 7 day delivery but took 3 weeks. It appears to have been thrown around and badly handled. That said, it lit up and works well, no dead pixels, and is a replacement for my Acer 23 inch TV/monitor. The price is also very good compared to the high street average of £254.00.
Summary: Arrived today. Removed old screen, unpacked, assembled and plugged in the new Acer screen. Everything worked as expected, no brainer. Works with 4 port KVM switch and all that was necessary was to change the resolution on each PC. Speakers not tried as I have separate audio system. Great screen for the price.
Summary: I was on the edge about buying this product. I had a 19" screen before this one, I was going to buy the 21" acer display but decided to go for the 27". And I'm so glad I did. Even though moving from a 19" to a 27" was a big difference, after using it for about a month I don't feel the screen is even that big. But the display it's self is beautiful. Darks are dark and lights are light. Everything just looks so much richer and clearer compared to my old display.
Summary: WEll i received the monitor from Amazon very promptly by next day delivery. Screen arrived with no dead pixels which is always a huge bonus. performs very well with any material ive thrown at it.
