Summary: I bought one of these monitors, mainly because it seemed good value compared with others of similar specifications. However, be warned: the On/Off switch in the bottom right-hand corner is pear-shaped in more than one sense - after a year of use, it became detached and disappeared inside the monitor case. So I couldn't turn the thing on!
Summary: I loved this monitor when it was new. But after only six months the screen became dim and could not be brightened. I shipped it to Customer Service at my own expense (about $40+) and they "replaced the main board". I was without the monitor for two weeks. Now after working well for five months the screen is dim again.
Summary: Well, I'll just begin with the basics and see where I end up. PROS. : The package came pretty fast. It was due between the 11'th and the 16'th and it showed up on the 11'th. So kudos for that. : It came in a box, and within that box was the actual monitor box. I am keeping that since it is good to keep the original to transport T.V.s : The actual monitor, I LOVE. It may not be anything super special, but for the price I am definitely not gonna complain.
Summary: I've been using this as my primary monitor along with my 23" dell for quite a few months now and have been very happy. I was a bit skeptical when I received since the box was very dinged up. I took lots of pictures half expecting it to be D.O.A. Much to my surprise and delight absolutely nothing was wrong with it and it only had 1 dead pixel. Perfectly acceptable for the greatly discounted price I purchased it at.
Summary: This monitor has been a great value. I love the display quality and haven't had a lick of trouble. The only thing I wish it had was some vertical adjustment. I knew it didn't going in, and didn't think it would bother me but it can be a bit inconvenient. Still a good buy and I've got no problems with the brand.
Summary: I love this monitor. 1920-by-1080 resolution is awesome! Ultra-high 100 million:1 contrast ratio - you can't deny but enjoy this superb color! 16:9 aspect ratio for 27" screen - can't go wrong! High 300 cd/m2 brightness - I agree! I got this monitor, refurbished condition, for a steal deal from this seller, Mongoose Computers. They are really nice people. They'll take very good care of you!
Summary: We own two Acer 27 inch monitors. My wife uses her monitor for working at home 40 hours each week. Her job involves huge spreadsheets with up to 25 columns and 200 rows. I use my Acer 27 inch for emails, navigation software, astronomy software and PhotoShop work. I'm 74 and even with a special pair of glasses made for computer use only, I was experiencing eye strain and headaches using a 19 inch Dell CRT monitor.
