Summary: It was cheap and I needed a large monitor. It feels kinda flimsy, but other than that I like it. I don't have any problem with it, and it has all the required basics (I consider HDMI a required basic, but that's just me) and nothing extra.
Summary: I bought this product for the clarity of picture and excellent color range, it's good enough for color sensitive design work and looks great. Very attractive design, and the touchscreen controls are a plus.
Summary: Awesome screen for the money...one issue is a small humming noise though. Besides that this screen is big! Its crystal clear, and the internal speakers are an extra bonus. So 4/5 stars...and the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is because of the humming.
Summary: This monitor DID NOT come with all necessary cables for me to 'Hook It Up' to my older computer. I had to go to Radio Shack and pay $27 for a 'BASIC' monitor to computer cable. I am pleased with quality and image of this screen, as I have eye/vision problems, and it is MUCH EASIER to view a larger screen and one that IS NOT DISTORTED. I Do RECOMMEND this Model & Monitor.
Summary: For my needs - primarily development + browsing, this monitor works great. Especially at the price point it is at, its a great deal. The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because of its speakers. I know - they didnt advertise it as one of the striking features of this monitor, but it still would have been nicer to have stronger speakers. Other than that, very nice display.
Summary: I don't have much of a in depth knowledge about monitors, I just bought this at best buy after seeing the price was the same online and CNET had good things to say about this one. And I'm not disappointed, it worked like a charm out of box (but that's expected I guess). What wasn't was, the inbuilt speaker and the touch sensitive buttons. Agreed both are not big selling points but was nevertheless nice touches.
Summary: I wanted another LCD for an old mac I was setting up for my son so I went looking on ebay for a cheap used 19 inch, When I found this Acer I decided to upgrade the monitor on my own mac instead and givr the kid my old one. The monitor is wonderful, great colors easy to set up. The size is very nice when I was used to the 19 inch ACER that IO bought about 4 years ago.
Summary: I have no complaint about the "picture quality" of this monitor. My complaint is that, (A) like most electronic equipment, the instructions are long on telling stuff that any idiot should know (how to set it up, don't sit near heat, etc) and short on showing photos of what cable goes where (the names for the cables mean nothing, since none of them are labeled and I am not cable-savvy as far as what all of them do) but still, I managed to set it up.
Summary: I didn't know a lot about widescreen monitors, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. I did some research and this brand (ACER)is a very good brand for widescreen LCD Monitors. This was the reason I installed the HD graphics card in my pc back in 2007. Colors are crisp and clear. I decided to purchase this monitor because: 1) My monitor was 8 yrs old and the screen had been fading in and out. 2) I placed a bid for it and got it at a great price.
Summary: First - the picture on this monitor (being used as a TV) is absolutely perfect. No dead pixels, great contrast and brightness. Now the puzzling part. I have this connected to a DirecTV receiver and unless you turn on the TV before the DirecTV receiver, it will *not* display video. I tested the box with other HDMI devices to make sure it wasn't the box -- and it wasn't. So, I'm not sure if its an incompatability or just "the way it is".
