Summary: It was cheap and I needed a large monitor. It feels kinda flimsy, but other than that I like it. I don't have any problem with it, and it has all the required basics (I consider HDMI a required basic, but that's just me) and nothing extra.
Summary: I bought this product for the clarity of picture and excellent color range, it's good enough for color sensitive design work and looks great. Very attractive design, and the touchscreen controls are a plus.
Summary: Awesome screen for the money...one issue is a small humming noise though. Besides that this screen is big! Its crystal clear, and the internal speakers are an extra bonus. So 4/5 stars...and the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is because of the humming.
Summary: I got the ACER H233H monitor about 6mo ago and have been waiting to review it until I got used to it better. First off, it was quite a transition coming from a 20" 4:3 monitor to a 23" 16:9 monitor. If you are used to having a lot of vertical screen real estate to work with in your applications, then you might be disappointed to know that when you go 16:9, you are going to lose vertical height in your display.
Summary: This monitor DID NOT come with all necessary cables for me to 'Hook It Up' to my older computer. I had to go to Radio Shack and pay $27 for a 'BASIC' monitor to computer cable. I am pleased with quality and image of this screen, as I have eye/vision problems, and it is MUCH EASIER to view a larger screen and one that IS NOT DISTORTED. I Do RECOMMEND this Model & Monitor.
Summary: I bought this display to plug into my laptop via HDMI. I don't own a desktop, and the small display of my laptop isn't really suitable for doing the research and paper-writing required by my university and the programming I'm doing in my free time. The unit boasts three input ports: 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, and 1 VGA. There is also an audio-in jack. Cables for each of these, including the audio jack, are provided, which was kind of nice.
Summary: This is a great value and the image is very nice looking but you should be aware of a couple shortcomings. 1/ The stand is flimsy. The monitor will wobble when you get excited. Not a problem if you put it on sold furniture. 2/ The stand is short. It will be too low for tall people to use if you just set it on the desk. You'll have to set it on something and that's probably going to make it more likely to wobble.
Summary: For my needs - primarily development + browsing, this monitor works great. Especially at the price point it is at, its a great deal. The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because of its speakers. I know - they didnt advertise it as one of the striking features of this monitor, but it still would have been nicer to have stronger speakers. Other than that, very nice display.
Summary: Honestly, the picture quality is really good at this price point, there are a few poor points however. First, the settings menu is horrible and unresponsive most of the time. It tends to take 2-3 key presses in order to get it to actually go. Second is a much bigger issue to me. I wanted to use HDMI for my inputs, and on this screen I get about a half inch of border on the top and bottom of the display, and about an inch on either side.
Summary: I wanted another LCD for an old mac I was setting up for my son so I went looking on ebay for a cheap used 19 inch, When I found this Acer I decided to upgrade the monitor on my own mac instead and givr the kid my old one. The monitor is wonderful, great colors easy to set up. The size is very nice when I was used to the 19 inch ACER that IO bought about 4 years ago.
