Summary: Having owned Acer monitors exclusively for several years now I am quite pleased with this model, with the exception of one dead pixel. Hardly enough to return it as the hassle outweighs the benefits. The power button also needs a firm press for power on an doff action. But is is a beautiful monitor those issues not withstanding.
Pros: When you think of the name Acer, quality usually isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Things sure have changed though. This isn't the Acer of the 90's, and with each and every passing year lately their products just seem to be getting better and better. I used to avoid Acer at all costs, but now they're a top brand for me.
Cons: I wouldn't call it a con, but the monitor wasn't quite as big as I was expecting. I think it being a wide screen monitor had something to do with that. If you're used to a traditional square monitor please be advised this is very WIDE. Because of this, you don't get an extraordinary amount of height (In fact, it's the same height as my 20" Dell) - Instead you get a very wide monitor. (duh) - So not really a con but just be advised of that. If I could go back I would a...
Summary: Got this as a work replacement. For the price you get a competent monitor. The only real negative is the incredibly short stand. In fact, it's comically short and not adjustable. The monitor is raised two inches above the desk.
Summary: I bought this to match another 24-inch acer monitor I have and it works perfectly. I've had no issues with it thus far, and the image quality is amazing. I've had my other Acer monitor for about 3 years now and have to say Acer is one of my favorites now. (I work in IT and see all sorts of monitors.
Pros: I recently bought two of these babies and I must say they don't disappoint. I have both of these mounted on a Planar dual monitor stand and side by side they look amazing. No dead pixels when they arrived, no drivers to install, my Nvidia GTX780 picked both of them right up and with a little tweeking to make them just the way I like I have the best dual monitor experience you can have for less than $310. I'm a gamer and so far I've detected no ghosting or anything els...
Cons: The only cons I have is that I didn't buy these sooner.
