Summary: Bought this for £100 5 years ago new from Amazon. I know this monitor has long been replaced with newer models but someone might find this helpful when deciding on Acer as a brand. While it functioned okay it was not without its faults.
Worth a buy if your new to pc's (somehow) and just want to plug and play.

Excerpt: This is a screen which really meets the needs of what im looking for when it comes to buying a screen, the only down side to this screen is that it aint HD and does not give of perfect picture quality when trying to watch things on the internet in HD quality.
Excerpt: This is a very competent monitor with only a minor drawback. On the up side, it is suprisingly large for a 19 inch monitor because of its widescreen aspect. this makes it perfect for watching DVDs and streaming video (such as iPlayer from the BBC).
Overall a great value, good quality screen, but check you dont need the missing features.

Excerpt: What a Great value widescreen 19" monitor! I was buying a new PC anyway, to replace a laptop, and was convinced I should get a widescreen, so that the monitor could double as a TV/DVD player in my bedroom.
Summary: Well , this is just a fantastic piece of kit ! I ordered mine on Monday and it came on Wednesday , Amazon told me it was dispatched at 8:30pm on tuesday night and it arrived Wednesday afternoon ! It was super easy to set up (mine was up and running within 5 minutes!!) and the display is top notch !
Summary: It worked straight out of the box. The screen is terrific. I had to reset the resolution of my graphics cards to 1440 x 900, which was a doddle to do. There are various auto and user-set colour modes which are very good. It tilts on the stand but only a little. Mine had no dropped pixels.
Summary: I bought an Acer PC a few months ago, but still had a huge CRT monitor which was just eating power and taking up loads of space. I saw the model down from this in Argos, but after some hunting around, found this model on Amazon for the same price.
Summary: excellent monitor for the money. I'm quit sensitive to LCD's, but this one is very soothing on the eyes, not too bright and very tweakable. The stand is solid enough, the menu and buttons are easy to use. I had two stuck pixels, but tapping them with a pen sorted them out. All in all a good buy.
Excerpt: Here is my review of the Acer AL1916WS, where to start well maybe a bit of background and why I bought it. 6 months before I bought this screen id bought myself a 19" TFT screen to replace my old CRT monitor and realised it didn't quite fit my requirement but that's my own fault as it was bought in...
I cannot find a email address, so here's a letter I want Acer to see:

Summary: Mr Lanci, I am writing to you in desperation with the lack of customer focus I am receiving following the early life failure of my Acer AL1916WAS widescreen monitor. I purchased the item new from Amazon UK on the 24th April.
