Summary: Bought this for £100 5 years ago new from Amazon. I know this monitor has long been replaced with newer models but someone might find this helpful when deciding on Acer as a brand. While it functioned okay it was not without its faults. It didn't seem to get on very well with my Dell Dimension E521 desktop.
Summary: More than five years after purchasing this screen it is still doing daily service with a smile. When you press the power button to power it on, it will display the Acer logo in cyan on a black background. Sometimes, on one of the screens I have, it gets stuck on the Acer logo, and I have to unplug the power cord to fix it. This only happens once in a blue moon, and only ever on the same screen. I am not an expert on screens but I am happy with it.
Worth a buy if your new to pc's (somehow) and just want to plug and play.

Excerpt: This is a screen which really meets the needs of what im looking for when it comes to buying a screen, the only down side to this screen is that it aint HD and does not give of perfect picture quality when trying to watch things on the internet in HD quality. Apart from that the screen fits the bill perfectly, the screen is 19" and has a very resolution, showing everything on there in a above average standard to what you would be used to.
Excerpt: This is a very competent monitor with only a minor drawback. On the up side, it is suprisingly large for a 19 inch monitor because of its widescreen aspect. this makes it perfect for watching DVDs and streaming video (such as iPlayer from the BBC). the refresh rate is fast (8ms) which means it can cope with most newer games, although diehard gamers will probably want something higher spec. the max resolution is 1440 x 900 (i.e.
Overall a great value, good quality screen, but check you dont need the missing features.

Excerpt: What a Great value widescreen 19" monitor! I was buying a new PC anyway, to replace a laptop, and was convinced I should get a widescreen, so that the monitor could double as a TV/DVD player in my bedroom. Looking around the market it was soon apparent that Acer make some very well specced good value PCs, but I wasnt going to have one of their monitors unless it was also good value and gave a quality picture.
Summary: This surely has to be one of the best value screens on the market. It's priced at the bottom end of the range for this size, but delivers top quality picture, with bright clear colours and absolutely no flicker. Text is extremely clear which was precisely what my student son needed for long hours writing essays. I wish I'd bought one for myself!
Summary: this monitor is my 2nd purchase of these as i love the quality of the 1st one i brought.that was 5yrs ago and still going good, brill picture and the screen isnt too soft to the touch as little fingers like to touch my screen.[if the tv screen is anything to go by].so its finger proof, great picture, easy to adjust eg;brightness etc.
