Awesome External Modem!
18 May 2013
Summary: I'm totally pleased with this product! I'm using it on a 10-year-old Macintosh iMac OSX 10.4x, because recently I've had BIG trouble with the internal modem--hang-ups, very slow performance, confusion in both Mail program & browsers, etc.I already had the modem script in my Library folder, so I simply plugged the modem in & shifted the computer phone line to it. Then, after configuring it to my ISP in System Pref's, I opened Internet Connect, and it works perfectly!
Mac OS Lion -- works great; IMPORTANT INSTALL INFORMATION

Summary: After installing the new Mac OS Lion, I lost the function of the Apple USB modem that I was using. I ordered the Zoom 3095 USB modem and replaced the Apple product. Of importance: pay no attention to the installation instructions included by Zoom; they include copying a modem script file to your computer which is not necessary. Go to the support section for their modem and there you will find easy to follow installation setup instructions in PDF format.
Summary: I have an IBM Thinkpad I bought on Ebay with Windows XP. It is set up for wireless only. It has no built in modem for dial up. I bought a generic USB modem at first that dropped my connection constantly. I decided to buy this modem and I am so happy with it! Not once has my connection been dropped. I highly recommend this modem.
Summary: I used to use the external USB Apple modem for using fax function on my Mac. Recently, I upgraded the OS X to Lion and found out that that USB external modem does not work for Lion OS. After some research online, I came across this modem and bought it because I could not find another one on the market that is compatible with Mac OS Lion and Parallel Desktop's Windows 7, both of which I use daily. The set up process is not silky smooth but it does come out fine.
Zoom 3095 USB modem works with a Mac Mini, 64-bit CPU, and OS X Lion 10.7

Summary: Purchased the newest version of the basic Mac Mini from the Apple Store in the Christiana Mall, Delaware about two weeks ago. Received a Zoom Model 3095 USB Mini External modem from Amazon a few hours ago. Followed the installation directions via this link: [...] The directions are explicit and easy to follow. The only difference: Instead of a ten digit telephone number with dashes I used an eleven digit number without any dashes.
Summary: I have a Macbook Pro dual bootable with Windows 7. This modem will not consistently work with the MacBook Pro and does not work at all with WIN 7. I also have Virtual box in which I can run Windows Vista, Linux etc. Does not work with VISTA either. Complete waste of money.
Summary: The product works fine but the instructions are frustrating--they are not current with the Snow Leopard OS on an i-mac. If you follow the instructions you will go bonkers, if you just plug it into the USB port you will be OK
