Fast to install, effective mobile wi-fi

Adam, Amazon
25 November 2014
  • Summary: Sim card not included, but if you have one this is very plain sailing indeed. There are clear instructions included, but take the dongle, slide open a panel, insert your sim (and micro sd card if you want extra mobile storage), plug into your lap top and follow on screen instructions which should...

Muhan Hu, Amazon

  • Summary: I struggled a lot before placing this oder since I've seen those bad ratings. Now I see it just as the item I want. The network is provided by 3, and the speed is fairly good, no problem with streaming Youtube HD(720p) video. My operating system is Windows 7.

Not really a fair rating as it comes from a novice

Trickle Tree, Amazon
24 November 2014
  • Summary: I got this product when I was going on holiday to the States but found it a bit too baffling so just relied on the access I got with the hotels. I am sure if you can get it working then it is a great size but I found that the instructions were not detailed enough to support someone who doesn't...

Works fine for me!

Robbie Swale, Amazon
24 November 2014
  • Summary: This works fine for me - mobile isn't great for tethering, so I just swapped my sim into here (bit silly as I then don't get texts etc!) And it works fine, no problems. Having read the other reviews, probably worth noting I'm using a standard sim.

Off-line not on-line

K. Jamison, Amazon

  • Summary: I have to agree with Aaron's review. I am very disappointed with this product. While some folks appear to have been successful, I have not. I'm surprised that it does not have support for Mac OS X. But let me leave that aside. On paper, the MA260 appears very capable.

not good for technophobes

HW, Amazon
22 November 2014
  • Summary: I was recommended to buy this dongle and looking at the reviews it seems great for what I need. SIM all registered and active, but the internet just won't connect. Phoned the help line who were awful. Back to the drawing board for me.

Junk

Aaron C Reskew, Amazon
22 November 2014
  • Summary: I had high hopes for this product. I've already got a Vodafone 3G mobile dongle but of course it's tied to the Vodafone network. It would have been good to be able to put either the Vodafone SIM or the SIM from my regular phone into a single dongle so I could use whichever network gave me the best...

useful link on the go

badger, Amazon
22 November 2014
  • Summary: I bought this for a friend who needs to have access to his internet in random places. The device is very useful in that it has a SIM slot. So a data SIM card can be used to enable internet access on a laptop by plugging it through USB slot. Very fast download speeds, over 20Mb.
