Summary: Needed to update a previous DSL Modem to include WPA2 security. Intuitive setup wizard - had no problem recognizing the parameters of my qwest/centurylink ADSL connection. Extra power helps fill up the house better - I was able to move my Wireless N-Repeater further away and now there appear to be no dead zones throughout the house
Cons: THIS DGN3500 PRESENTS SERIOUS FAULTS OF MANUFACTURE, THAT DO THAT IT HAS INTERMITTENT AND CONSTANTS REBOOTING ALONE. USB PORT IT IS UNUSABLE FOR THIS PROBLEMS. IN SHORT IT DOES MORE SUITABLE TO BUY NEW OTHER ONE.
Summary: I purchased this product in April 2013 from Wal-Mart online and found out through Netgear technical support that it was manufactured in August 2010 so the warranty had already expired. If I wanted assistance from Netgear with setting it up I'd have to pay for it. Why would Wal-Mart be selling old equipment that Netgear would no longer support?
The seller sent me the small print that said it nas no serial number or set

Summary: When buying this item make sure to buy it new. Mine was a refurbished model and I had to get Netgear to get it set it up with new software and I had to buy a 6 month contract which cost me an additional $80.00. I will not buy any item that is refurbished again unless it comes from the manufacture.
