Great Value for a FAST modem like this...!
Summary: Extremely fast modem...! Replaced my old Motorola SB5100 Docsis 2.0.. Went from 35 MB/ps to 55 MB/ps on Comcast... My only concern is that this is a refurbished item..so I bought the 2 year warranty from square trade to give me peace of mind.. Other than that, I love the new modem..!
Summary: At a lower price than retail, this has turned out to be a great buy. I think the data transfer is quicker than the rental unit. A wireless router needs to be purchased separately. This is an approved device for Time Warner Cable.
Summary: working good AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Summary: Doubled Internet speed! Coupled with a $45 Tenda Dual-Band Concurrent router. This cable modem is "State of the Art" DocSis 3.0. Getting 16Mbs > 18Mbs, instead of the "guaranteed" 10Mbs. This is on an archaic TWC non-fibre optic system in Port Clinton Oh. On my TWC fibre optic sysyem in Reynoldsburg, OH., I get 23Mbs > 27Mbs ! A little known way to speed things up cheaply. Plus, I OWN both of them.
Summary: Great Modem. Does what it is supposed to do. Dead simple. Plug in the power, plug in the coaxial cable, plug in your Cat 5 cable to your router, call the ISP and tell them the MAC address and within an hour (since they are slow to type it in the computer) and you're up and running. Best thing: not paying TWC!!
