  • Summary: I'd check around for other newer modems and reviews before getting the SB5120. Motorola has excellent products but I'd still shop around.
  • Pros: Easy to set up, small, compact, and, hey, it's a Motorola
  • Cons: All the lights are on when connected and possibly mine has a heat sensitivity.

Highly recommended for faster connections

ben2e, shopping.com
17 February 2006
  • Excerpt: I had used an RCA Cablemodem with Comcast service for several years. Comcast recently upgraded their service in the Seattle area to 6 megabit, so I was curious to find my speed. I tried DSL reports several times and followed instructions for improving my speed but the best I got was 2.6 megabit.
  • Pros: 2+x faster then my old modem. Much better troubleshooting and diagnostic information. Easy setup.
  • Cons: Package not great for wall mounting.
