Excerpt: True story: Comcast comes out to install cable line and modem at my new house. The Comcast tech tried 5 Motorola 5120 modems and none worked. He then gave me one of the sales reps modems which was also a 5120. We tested it and were able to get online.

Excerpt: I recently checked a few broadband speed test sites to see what speed others were getting out of their Comcast connection in my zip code.. they were mostly over 6mbps... smokin fast.. and I have been stuck at 3.5mbps and wondering why.
Pros: Dramatic improvement over original equipment cable modems... simple to install, small profile.
Cons: I had a hard time finding a local retailer with any in stock..

Excerpt: I had used an RCA Cablemodem with Comcast service for several years. Comcast recently upgraded their service in the Seattle area to 6 megabit, so I was curious to find my speed. Pros: 2+x faster then my old modem. Much better troubleshooting and diagnostic information. Easy setup.
