Summary: I fond this model listed as compatible with Comcast and is working fine so far. Comcast was selling this to us for $78 dollars plus a monthly fee. With my calculations, I would have been able to buy 5 of these cable modems for the price that Comcast was charging us in one year.
Summary: Don't waste your time buying this item! My internet got disconnected every 15-20 minutes, which is unacceptable when I was on a conference call. I called my internet provider 3 times, and the technician did everything to make sure the cables are clear.
Summary: WARNING!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEM!!!!!! I received the Modem while I was away on business and finally installed it only to find out that it constantly drops the signal, therefore sometimes when I'm using my computer, my WiFi goes dead for a minute or two.
Summary: Plug and Play for existing Comcast users! All I had to do was plug everything in and hop onto the computer browser. Clicked on the browser and "refreshed" until the Comcast website showed up. Then it'll prompt you to enter your account number and your phone number.
pretty stupid. This is way worth the extra money ...

Summary: Fast arrival, as advertised. Out of box, called cable co. to activate....they walked me thru everything patiently while I hooked up while they were on the phone....literally three plug-ins and lights flashing, he needed MAC# on the box and model and brand, had me unplug router..
Summary: It works, but did not perform to the speeds that it supposedly supports. I only got 34 Mbps when I was paying for 105 from Comcast. Over the phone, they said they had no trouble communicating with it and thought it was something with the wiring at my place.
Excerpt: I needed to upgrade my cable modem and found this one on the list of devices recommended by my cable provider. Abt had a good price, so I purchased it. It was easy to set up, but my connection was rather slow at first. After a half hour of use the speed finally picked up to what I was used to.
Summary: I won't be buying anything any more labeled either Linksys or Cisco. Linksys was bought up by Cisco last year, and I had to RMA this unit back as it was having issues, post an update pushed out by Comcast. Cisco/Linksys sent me an unopened new one to replace it with no further details.
Summary: After having multiple problems with the motorola arris modem/router, and comcast modems dropping wireless and wired signals; reluctantly I purchased this modem and paired it up with the Asus RT-AC66R.
Summary: just got Comcast internet and really didn't want pay them any more money that I already am, so did some research and decided on this box. It works well with the service that I have, and takes up way less space than the big clunky box they provided.
