Lynksys, an awesome product. Will buy a newer model when needed.

  • Summary: I was having trouble staying connected to the internet. My internet cable provider kept saying that the modem I had needed to be replaced. I have always had Lynksys routers so paired up with a stackable modem would be nice. Received the unit, hooked it up and was running again, but wait, The intermittent loss of cable started again. It took the cable provider 4 visits to my home to fix the faulty installation job they did only 3 month's earlier.

This brand is amazing!

  • Summary: This brand is amazing! I bought after I learned I was "renting" the cable router from my cable company for the past 6 YEARS for $7 a month. I already own the Linksys broadband router and have for many, many years with no issue. The brand was originally recommended by my IT department that helps run a billion dollar a year company. I am completely loyal to this company.

Great modem! Can't beat it for the price!

  • Summary: A great replacement for any company-issue modem. This Modem has supplied my family with ultra-high speed internet for a long time. very simple structure, and very easy to place (unlike Motorola surfboards, it lays instead of stands). The modem dissipates heat quickly and efficiently, making for a snappy internet connection with no modem crash or choppiness. Best combined with other Linksys components (most commonly the WRT54G because they stack perfectly).

Not compatible anymore

  • Summary: I bought this product to use with my cable connection via charter. However, Charter has blacklisted this modem. I wouldn't waste your money on this now. Used to work great, but at higher speeds it doesn't work.

Inconvenienced already.

  • Summary: I wanted a modem of my own and not have to rent from the cable company anymore. I was looking for a modem like the one I had been renting because I had an 8 year history with that modem with very few hiccups along the way. Unfortunately that brand/model was hard to come by NEW, which was another factor I wanted. I have been involved in tech jobs and specifically cable modems and routers for about 4 years now.

This is a great cable modem. Great product for the money.

  • Summary: This is a great cable modem. I use it with my wireless router WRT54GS to connect PCs and WiFi. Best to buy either Version 3 or Version 4 of this unit to get DOCSIS 2.0. All earlier versions are DOCSIS 1.0 only and slower. Version 4 is the best of the lot. Check with your cable ISP to make sure they will support and add this model to their network. Some ISP's are not adding older technology units.

  • Summary: It works great. Easy setup. It was a great price. I would recommend getting one to anyone that has cable internet so they can save the 5 bucks a month that it would cost for them to rent it from there internet provider.

One problem.

  • Summary: When you buy a modem, make sure the previous owner removed the item from their account. If they live in a diffrent state, your cable company most likly wont be able to hook up the devise. This happened to me and still I am waiting for the old owner to remove ID.
