Excerpt: Perfectly fine for the price. Has all the settings one would expect in a router config (QoS, dynamic DNS, etc). Seems to be a bit flaky with Windows shares between Server 2008 R2 on the ethernet port and an XP laptop on WiFi. Shares will sometimes disappear when browsing from the laptop and only return once the router is restarted...but waiting for a firmware update before I start complaining.
Summary: I bought this to replace my popular but aging Westell 327W. Wow what a difference. I'm not going to get technical but if you have an old wireless router and want to upgrade to 802.11 (n) and want a modem/router combo on the cheap then I recommend this. I would not however pay full price. Somewhere around $30 is a great price. The firmware is fairly new and seems they keep updating it. The wireless range is ok but not great.
Summary: when you lose power, the software does not remember instructions. I had to pay an AT&T associated company to get the machine to work. When I had a power glitch, I could not get the router to be recognized by the network. I am currently using my old unit.
Get this modem/router if you can purchase for <$30

Summary: Works great on ATT DSL in Texas. Using auto detect settings with no issues. No dropped connections like a TrendNet modem I was using. Wireless is working great as well. Cannot load DD-WRT on this thing is the only reason that I would hesitate to purchase at full price. If you can get it for <$30 then I recommend it highly. Upgrade the firmware from the ASUS website.
Summary: Pros: Setup was very simple. Has preset for countries and connection provider. Quick Internet setup is awesome. No heating up noticed. Good for 2-3 BHK homes. Good looks. Definitely better than crappy modems given by the connection providers. Cons: None so far. Might buy one more for my parents as the BSNL modem has given up.
Summary: If you are looking for an affordable wifi router, then this router is a good considered. It has most of the features a home user wants. Even better, the cost is 2K. Setting it up is a cake walk, I was surprised to see people having troubles with setting this up.
Summary: Received it on 16/01/2013. I think all the bugs that I saw in the comments section are fixed. Does not heat. At all. Indian Plug. Latest firmware. Breeze to install. And as usual, super fast delivery. Within 48 hours.
Summary: I wanted a replacement for my existing BSNL modem but decided to go for a wifi this time. After extensive research I narrowed down on this product. By this time this product was out of stock. Waited for it to come on stock and ordered one. This is one excellent piece of wifi router that is easy to setup, excellent connectivity through out the house. I haven't experienced any heating up issue as mentioned in few of the reviews.
