Summary: I love my Sunbeam Heritage 450 watt stand mixer. The bowl is driven by a motor instead of the friction of the beaters as in other models, and it will mix just about anything. Good gentle slow speed for folding in flour, and excellent high speed that whips meringue in just minutes. I've had mine for a year, used many times and works just as when I go it. It is a little loud, but work creates some noise!!
Summary: Very few good deals on Ebay pan out. The old saying you get what you pay for is true. Ebay for the most part is not to be trusted and you are always taking a big chance anytime you purchase there. This "NEW" mixer still had crust on the the mixer from previous use and was not exactly as advertised. But, that is Ebay!!!!!
Replacing vintage Sunbeam with heritage mixer 2349
2 May 2010
Summary: UPDATE: THE MOTOR THAT ROTATES THE BOWL DIED THE SECOND TIME I USED THIS MIXER. WOULD NO LONGER RECOMMEND! I purchased this sunbeam mixer to replace the Sunbeam mixmaster I had had for years. I read reviews about these mixers and they were all over the place, positive and negative. I thought perhaps those who complained about the noise and difficulty of operation were just not used to Sunbeams, that they must be similar to what I had.
Summary: Love it, love it, love it!!! Actually, I was forced to buy it when my beloved Sunbeam mixer from 1972 finally went caput on me. After looking around and realizing that the Kitchen Aids are way too big and too pricey for my needs, I was thrilled to find this Sunbeam 450 at a reasonable price and with better features than my old one. It is a very practical appliance!
Summary: This Mixer is strictly for appearence, I have had multiples because of warranty they keep replacing them, the head gear is made of nylon and strips out, the LAST on the the second use the beaters fell out, the motor has never quit but it is not usable withot beaters that turn.......
